Mystic Isle Motel

Wow, where to begin. Room and over all looks, great! But customer service by the manager himself, was the most shocking thing I've ever experienced.. I plead with you NOT to stay here.. Come and stay here if you want to be yelled at, berated, talked over, and told "your just in a pissy mood, and are just trying to be difficult" becuase u asked about a wifi problem First, i was required to pay the full amount on check in, which is unheard of. When I asked is that the normal thing? I thought it was at check out..? The manager arrogantly said ive been travelling for 40 yrs you always pay upfront.. Not sure why the attitudes was necessary but lets keep goong.. Then we discovered, the room had no ac (middle of summer) no where mentioned on the room details or booking page. Then we had issues with the wifi, and the satellite TV. After driving all day, you want to unwind and relax. Not continue to sweat in a stuffy room, while the wifi is spotty and drops out, and the TV looses connection. So I go to call front desk.. Oops.. no phone in the room either. So I call front desk on my phone and ask about the TV and internet, if there was an issue.. i was then yelled at and chewed out by the maneger, because, as he so eloquently put it, "I was in a pissy mood, and was just trying to be difficult" I was flabbergasted by what I was hearing. I had asked if the wifi wasn't working, or if there was an issue with our room. "Nope no problem he said, just put in the password to the wifi". "Oh did I not tell you?" He said . mmm no There was no password given to me at check in, there was no mention of wifi at all. Also no card or plack or peice of paper even saying which network or password.. Turns out it was a password protected network that didn't even show up the first time, but management said "its my responsibility to ask for it, others were asking, so I should have also" That started a back and forth of "MAYBE I forgot to mention it to you, becuase I have so many other guests".. He went on further to say "rogers comes everyday to change things so why would I put a paper in the room, for it to be changed the next day"... well.. maybe becuase its your job to ensure your customers know what to expect, and can get connected properly and actually enjoy their stay. I couldn't get a word in while he flew off the handle on the phone, telling me how I have a problem, and im just trying to be difficult. I will never stay here again, and I will make sure as many are shielded from the stress and deception that is the mystic motel.. BEWARE, DO NOT SPEND MONEY HERE!

Outstanding! Very clean! Very comfortable! Very quiet! Very modern! Easy and friendly check in! Very well maintained! I highly recommend staying here! It is up on a hill so there is no road noise and it has a great view. The rooms are nice and big with a comfortable sitting area.

We weren't sure what to expect in Wawa, but this motel put us at ease. No creepy bedspreads (which are one measure of what to expect, when you book a room) but instead a nicely decorated room, with a good BR to clean up after walking on the beach. A bonus was the best restaurant in Wawa just a walk down the driveway. I'd definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to friends and travelers.
