We are actually still here presently for 2 nights 13-15 September. Checked in yesterday and was welcomed by a lovely gentleman in a kilt. Reception staff welcoming but not 5* service. Standard room with loch view £1426 for 2 nights B&B!! Sadly, not as clean as it should be, no little touches and no mini bar despite our booking stating it had one. Room 144. Having stayed here in 2014, and then finding it 5* luxury we decided to return 10 years later. Very overpriced Premier Inn comes to mind now ! Martin Wishart gone, guests in smart dress gone. Breakfast was good but sadly a buffet style in a ‘5*’ is not expected. Last night we ate at the Vista restaurant - having confirmed the booking 2 days ago, expected a nice welcome but was greeted with ‘have you booked as we don’t have you in the diary, please show me your confirmation’. Then a table was found but we were told there was no drink menu apart from wine??? We ordered food and got forgotten about, then as a gesture we were given another focaccia! Ordered an Amerone and the wine waiter snapped the cork at the table in the bottle!! Waitress, not got a clue. Food ok, nothing special. Ordered another bottle of wine only to be told, we don’t have any more Amerone - then the waiter appeared with a bottle 5 minutes later! Whiskey bar back at the hotel, lovely and a fabulous selection, no complaints there. Breakfast staff good and praise indeed to the vibrant lady on breakfast reception, she was outstanding and her welcome is very much a 5* one. A very chaotic hotel, certainly not what is was, guests a very different clientele to how it was at our last stay. Maybe the addition if ‘resort’ should have put us off. Had we not already paid, we would be leaving today. In the lounge but £26 for a glass of champagne is certainly very steep! So sad as this was a delightful hotel but it has lost its charm, welcome and luxury that it once had.

I booked the Rasul Spa day package for my daughters birthday. It was so relaxing..the hydro therapy suite was amazing as was the sauna, haman, Aroma & steam rooms were so nice. The outdoor infinity pool/ jacuzzi was so therapeutic & we both enjoyed every minute of it. The views of the golf course & surrounding area was superb & because the weather was glorious it made it ever so special. The Rasul mud treatment was really good…left our skin feeling so smooth. We had dinner in the Clubhouse which was delicious I had the fish & chips & my daughter had steak pie then we both had sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream! Highly Recommended !

Cameron House could be amazing but it fell short in several ways. Upon arrival no one welcomed us or offered to help us with our luggage. Upon check-in we were greeted and then handed over to a guest experience concierge. She showed us to our room but we were on our own to try and get help with the luggage. We stayed in a suite with a balcony overlooking Loch Lomond. The balcony was not a true balcony but rather a door that opened where you could stand in a small area-- more like a Juliet Balcony. That was disappointing since I had been in contact with the hotel to make sure there was seating on the balcony beforehand. Dinner was good and breakfast was good. Once of the highlights of our stay was the next morning when a lady with colourful glasses and a cheerful personality showed us to our breakfast table. She was lovely. We were told our mini-bar would be replenished daily but after asking 4 times for a replenished bottle of champagne, we had to go to guest services and request a replenishment in person. The beds were not horrible but not great and the pillows were cheap and lumpy. When one is paying the price we were, a comfy bed and nice pillows were expected. I visited the spa and they were very matter-of-fact. No friendly welcome, no smile. When we checked out no one even asked us if we had a nice stay or cared we were leaving. We stayed at the Balmoral in Edinburg and the Fairmont in St Andrews and the service was exceptional. Cameron House was happy to take our money, but we got the impression they could have cared less if we enjoyed ourselves or not. I won't be going back on our trip next year.

Disappointing one night stay. Room was lovely but on ground floor at front of hotel with no privacy blind. Waited over 25mins for transfer from spa back to hotel due to staff miscommunication. Not all spa facilities were in working order, and there was a broken beer bottle in whirlpool. Wait to enter restaurant for breakfast was over 20mins and service was very poor - twice had to ask for tea/coffee. Would expect much better from a five-star hotel.

My wife and I stayed at Cameron House for our mini-moon. The level of service is second to none and this is honestly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The personal touch provided by the staff made our mini-moon very special.

I was at a business event this week It was very busy but the service from the staff was first class, particularly from duty manager Emma Carrigan Food was great and the selection of beers, wines and spirits were spot on Will look forward to my next visit

We had an overnight stay with our toddler, and are in the Cameron Grill. It was absolutely wonderful, every minute. We felt well looked after, especially by Caroline Johnston, she made our trip feel extra special. Our toddler loved the freedom around the hotel, the pool was fantastic, and the meal we all had at the Grill was fantastic. We have since been back for dinner and leisure use. Oh, not to forget their breakfast buffet in the morning, so so good! Would absolutely recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Perhaps in hindsight we should not have booked such a big hotel/resort. We found the whole experience very impersonal. We had no complaints with the room. Although the toiletries were anchored to the wall, so that you could not use them in the bath if you wished to wash your hair that way. They were also empty! Dinner in the Grill was exceptionally good. Good service and lovely food. The Tavern (night 2) was not so good I'm afraid. Cold soup and an extortionate price adding a side of chips to the burger. Service was also not up to scratch for the amount being paid here. Breakfast was another story! It was a buffet. Not our favourite way of taking breakfast when paying so much for a hotel experience. There was plenty to choose from, however, we were seated next to a table that simply did not sit still. They were part of a large party (perhaps a wedding, we were not sure) But we spent most of our breakfast with somebody stood with their back against our table talking to other people. Not a relaxing experience at all. It was a bit "Disney in Scotland" if I'm honest. I'm sure family and parties would love the whole experience. But it was not for us I'm afraid.
