Fairfield Inn & Suites Alexandria

Very average hotel. Very typical moldy caulked bathroom with shower head that doesn't quite spray right and may or may not give you hot water. My room had a fridge that only cooled for 2 hours at a time. There were no other controls to keep it running full time. The parking lot is also set up very weird with a side entrance that you would not really expect. The empty lot in front of the hotel doesn't really have any parking spaces. When I was there, they allowed a truck with a trailer to take up about 8 prime parking places for a few days. Breakfast was typical, dehydrated eggs, pancake maker and cereals. I went one day of my 5 and it was all quite sticky. Fitness area looked nice, lobby seating and outdoor pavilion area looked inviting. I slept ok once the neighbors got settled and laundry works fine for $2 wash $2 dry. Would I stay again, probably not. But I was expecting a much cleaner updated room from the Marriott name.

Hotel looks decent on the outside but the rooms are disappointing. Front desk representative was welcoming and nice. The front desk had to change my room because the carpet was dirty in the first room they gave me. The second room had a smell, and the carpet was still dirty. They obviously did not vacuum. Shower does not get hot enough. Lots of areas that require upkeep. Bath towels were not neatly folded. Just overall looks unkept and feels dirty.

First the manager was very rude to me. We waited to be checked in as she talked on the phone. When a white lady & husband came,She immediately gave them her full attention. The rooms were clean and cozy. The breakfast was cold but the attitude of the staff is horrible!!!!

Excellent, definitely a clean family place to stay. Highly recommend, salt water pool was great, perfect breakfast choices, rooms were immaculate. Friendly and helpful staff, outdoor fire pit. We stayed one night… 4 adults, 2 children.

This was a nice clean hotel. Rooms were a good size and it came with a free breakfast. The staff we interacted with were very friendly. Plenty of parking and walking distance to a couple of bars/restaurants. Prices were very reasonable.

Great service that actually exceeded expectations. The representative who checked us in (Taylor) revised the original room assignment to give us a room that best fit our needs (first floor, close to exit). She also provided an excellent recommendation for dinner.  Taylor was very personable and worked hard to help us in whatever way possible. The room was well designed and easy to maneuver to access everything. In particular, each side of the bed had small tables with electrical outlets for us to quickly set up our CPAC machines.  We  wish all hotels had this design to save us from hauling long extension cords and cube taps as well as avoid placing the machines on the floor or other awkward places.

The customer service at this property was great! Tracy and both Taylors and staff throughout the hotel were all welcoming, accommodating, and attentive. My family and I were only in for one night so I can not give a thorough review on the property overall but it did serve its purpose. However, with a staff such as this I don’t believe if you did encounter an issue they wouldn’t be able to resolve it! Definitely the Marriott service one comes to expect is present at this property.

At checkin the front desk gave us the wrong room we requested and paid for, and didn’t really care to make it right. The heat refused to work correctly and our room was cold, we asked for maintenance to come check, they said he already went home(5 pm) and the front desk would see if they could get him to come back, WHAT? It’s 41 degrees out!! Tracy the manager at this time said she had contacted maintenance guy who would see about coming back in later, no time given! This is all taking place at 5:15 pm

This hotel is terrible, because we found bedbug during ourstay. we checked in the hotel on Nov 23 2022, the room number is 323.we foundmany bedbugs 2 am of Nov 24 during our sleeping. We have reported this issue to the clerk Beeky at the front desk, she suggested us to send an emailto Trace,the manager of the hotel  regarding this issue together with bedbugphotos we took in the room and request full refund and compensation on the lost.Morning of Nov 24, I got a phone call from Tracy, she told me the bug I showedher is not bed bug, but lady bug. I can not agree with her, so I contacteda pest control company after I returned to my home city. The owner of thecompany told me the picture I showed him is bedbug. and my family doctor also told me the red bumps are bed bug bites.
