Astoria Retreat Bed & Breakfast

I liked the way i was welcomed despite the fact that i arrived earlier than check in time. I loved the clean environment and quiteness. The place really felt like home.

Very comfy bed, nice en suite, and friendly hosts. Operating under covid protocols meant we weren't able to access a space with dining table or chairs for our meals though. Work desk and chair good for working on laptops, but Wifi not strong enough to enable good zoom or microsoft teams online meetings, using cellphone as mobile hotspot required for that.

My wife and I booked a two night stay during our visit to Perth. After reading some of the negative reviews we were cautiously optimistic. We found the rooms and shared kitchenette to be immaculately clean. However the check in process seemed a bit tedious. Especially if you arrive needing to use the toilet in your room. The registration form requires that you place your drivers license and credit card onto the physical form, after which you photocopy and text that form to the management. This operation is completed in the lobby while you wait. The original form is then placed into the physical room box on the floor. We were assured that the form with our data was to be destroyed upon ocheckout. Continental breakfast (if your rate included same) includes two bananas, milk,cereal, sliced white bread, raison bread with packaged jam and Peanut Butter along with tea, coffee and a kettle. There is also water in the frig for purchase. We would stay here again. It was reasonably priced and immaculately clean.
