Best Western Plus Country Meadows Inn

Great location right across from a grocery store and shoppers drug mart, with restaurant attached was very nice. Pool was decent other than there were kids playing and it echoed from the screaming kids. Hotel room was very clean beds were small considering I thought I got 2 queen but could be wrong but seemed like doubles. Toilet and tub area is very small with door that opens into it making it smaller, felt like I had to step in tub to close door to use washroom. While in room you can hear all the hallway noise( kinda dissapointing) but not deal breaker. Would for sure stay here again.

The stay was great. Harjot, at the front desk, was always very polite, friendly and accommodating during our stay. Always a great smile coming from this young lady. The hotel had easy access to our room and was quiet. The food was very good. Marlene in the dining area kept everything very clean and organized. She was very friendly, polite and cheerful. Loved her personality. Than you for a very pleasant stay Best Western.

Recently stayed at this Best Western Plus property while attending a nearby classic car show. When checking in on Friday, September 5th, the front desk clerk presented me with two room registrations to sign. Queried why I was signing twice, he told me I had reserved two rooms. Assured him I most certainly hadn’t, he looks on their system and tells me I had made one in early May and another in late May. I know the late May reservation was made by me on the 27th, so I checked my emails on my phone and found a confirmation for that reservation in my travel folder. Nothing for the early May reservation, which after I asked for more specific information, was told that it was apparently made on May 3rd. I did not register for the car show until May 25th, and after confirming with friends that they were staying at this Best Western, went online on the 27th and booked a room. Given that I did not know until late May that I would be attending this particular show, I would not be reserving a hotel room more than 3 weeks earlier. I contacted Best Western Client Services Department, explained what was going on and they opened a complaint file and told me they would look into the issue and get back to me. At their suggestion I went back to the front desk, told them I had been in contact with the Client Services Department and I was returning the key cards for the second room as we would not be using it. Client Services Department called me back today and told me that management at the Country Meadows Inn were insistent on charging me for two rooms as I had not cancelled the second room within 24 hours of check in. It’s difficult to cancel a room you when you didn’t know you had it reserved. The second issue I have with my stay, for which they have not given a satisfactory explanation is the discrepancy in price charged for two identical rooms. When I made my reservation on May 27th I received a confirmation via email detailing a room rate of $252.17 + $37.82 in taxes for a total of $289.99. The rate being charged for the apparent May 3rd reservation is a room rate of $289.99 (curiously exactly the same amount as the total for the reservation I made on May 27th) plus taxes of $43.50 for a total of $333.49. I questioned the difference at check in and was told by the desk clerk that the rate typically would be higher the closer to the check in date you were booking. I pointed out to the desk clerk that the mystery May 3rd booking was actually the one charged the higher rate and he dismissed my question by saying that he didn’t know why then. I’m disappointed that this management at this Best Western are being so inflexible. At no point did I receive a confirmation for the apparent May 3rd booking (had I received one it would have been moved to the travel folder) and they are not interested in making any sort of concession. They have bought themselves $333 worth of ill will and I will look to other hotel chains for future travel rather than stay at a p

Comfortable beds, spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Appreciated the complementary coffee and water refill station in the lobby. Staff were welcoming and helpful. It's located not far from a rural area so it is quiet at night. The pool and the hot tub were great but it would have been nice if the pool was a little bigger. The location is a little off the beaten path but there are still some food and beverage options within walking distance.

Minus 10 overall rating. The worst customer service I have ever encountered. Don't waste your time here. We had booked our room for youth field lacrosse Provincial Championships. City of Langley closed the fields due to snow and rescheduled the event 2 weeks later. Very rude staff and even after calling customer service, and corporate customer relations there was no assistance moving our booking dates. Hot tub was brown/green and hadn't been attended to for 2+ days. I'm the manager for 23 U18 lacrosse players and we will never book our team at a Best Western again. Also, Water damage at front entrance of hotel, dirty muddy towels over the floor and a dirty Rubbermaid tote catching water falling from the ceiling and walls, dry wall disintegrating down the walls and onto the floor during entire 3 day stay.

The room is always clean, my bed made daily and towels and toiletries replaced. Little touches make for a pleasant stay. Front desk staff are helpful and always friendly. Breakfast is much appreciated I’ve been staying here for about 6 years and never disappointed
