Apartaments Ses Dàlies

Booked these apartments as a last minute short break, knowing the area and location well. I was slightly disappointed with the situ as the rooms and pool face the rear of a large hotel - the apartments do very well to disguise this on the photographs. Pros: The apartments were basic but very clean and well equipped. Close to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. Always free sunbeds and very handy and safe set up with small children. Beds were comfy and there were adequate pillows and towels and an unexpected cleaning service. Cons: Upon arrival we were instantly disappointed that there was construction work going on at the hotel adjacent - there wasn't constant noise but it did impact our first 2 days (this wasn't any fault of the apartments) and did stop after the first few days. We were also disturbed by other guests until midnight on our first night and then woken again at 7.30am. It's a small space for 2 adults and 2 children. Also a tiny point but a quiet, quick boil kettle would be so useful as I woke everyone trying to make a cup of tea. Summary: Although we had a great stay, the close proximity of the pool and loungers means you are impacted by other guests and for that reason I would be nervous to book again. As it was a last minute break, we paid quite a lot for the room and have booked to go back to the Sofia (which is beach front) for almost the same price for the same dates next year so I didn't feel it was value for money.

This was the first half board holiday we had done for over 20 years, the rest all inclusive. The quality of the food of the food for breakfast and evening meal was very good. The hotel was kept very clean, and at the time of year October there was never a shortage of sunbeds. There was plenty to do outside of the hotel nice walks into town along the beach or inland. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not sure I would go in the peak of season as I can imagine Alcudia being very busy. But for a nice break out of season I highly recommend.

We had stayed at this hotel before, prior to the pandemic, and really enjoyed our stay, so were eager to return.  Unfortunately, our return stay was not as good, which was a huge disappointment. We were given room 318, which has a partial sea view, but generally a view of a petrol station, and the hotel bins. Not the best start, given the smell. As we unpacked, we noticed the air con would only work on fan 2, any other setting resulted in the air con switching off, on its own, not so much of an issue. Then we noticed the toilet flush didn't work, or rather the eco-flush didn't. Then we noticed the washing line in the shower had snapped and had not been replaced. Then we noticed the balcony door handle was loose (almost falling off, I tightened this myself). Then we noticed some of the balcony railings were not secure, one, which was supposed to be secured in three sections was only held on by the middle section and rocked if leaned on.  There were only 2 chairs for the 3 of us to sit on, on the balcony. Then we noticed the light on the kitchen was held on by what appeared to be either the wire or one screw. Outdoor light was cracked, wall had an S scratched into it, in the kitchen area, cupboards didn't shut properly, the room just felt worn out. I was of the impression that, as we had arrived at the end of season this year, the room had taken somewhat of a hammering over the summer and maintenance was lacking. I spoke with reception and asked for another room, was advised they were fully booked, so not possible. I explained that the air con was only functioning on one setting, the toilet only partly flushed, the clothes line in the shower was snapped and the kitchen light looked unsafe. I was informed the hotel no longer had washing lines in the showers (in which case, why leave the broken one in?) and that maintenance would be along shortly. A maintenance man arrived within 10mins and fixed the toilet flush. He adjusted the kitchen light, to hang slightly further on the other side, so it almost looked like the gap between ceiling and light fixture was intentional, and said he couldn't do anything with the air con, so just to use setting 2. We got on with the holiday and tried to put the issues with the room out of mind. Then the air con started leaking all over the floor, a steady stream of water. Back to reception, maintenance man was out again within 5 minutes and fixed the leaking air con and gave our son a bag of sweets, which was a nice gesture. A bit of the door handle fell off. I fixed this again myself. I was tempted to begin fixing the flapping seal around the door but decided against it. We began to notice, that whilst there were not many children in the hotel, our hallway was littered with buggies, which in itself was hazardous. As the holiday went on, we noticed that the bedsheets had not been changed, on either our bed, or our son's, this was the case for the entire two week stay, with the sheets at the end of the

We've just got back from a lovely stay here. We had a family suite and Maris plus room. Our suite was a great size and had an outdoor seating area looking at the pond which was nice. The pool restaurant at lunch was really nice, lots of choice and great service. Definitely the food highlight of the holiday. The breakfast/dinner buffet was fine. I mostly had salads etc after having a big lunch. The bus stop is right outside the hotel, it's so easy to get to Pollensa and Alcudia. The beach outside the hotel is really handy. Just walk to the windsurfing school and cross over the road. It's a small beach and very shallow bay, great for kids and fine for swimming. Wasn't the warmest in October! I used the gym, great facilities. You can hire bikes and as mentioned there is a windsurfing school, I'd try that if we went again. The layout and environment really reminded me of center parcs! Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The site was clean. The paths need redoing because the stones are loose and splashed water on us when we were walking around. My son loved the mini disco. Entertainment was pretty average but we were right at the end of the season and I'm not bothered for it anyway. I prepared for mosquitos due to the nature reserve and time of year. I took a plug in, a gel repellent and jungle spray. We got a few bites but nothing terrible. The views all around the hotel are stunning. It's in a beautiful location. We would definitely consider going back but when I've priced it up for summer 25 it's incredibly expensive.

A clean hotel in a great location. Half-board dinner and breakfast with plenty of choice for food. I'm very pleased that they had lactofree milk and cheese. Live food stations at both breakfast and dinner. Drinks were reasonably priced. There are 3 pools with plenty of sun loungers at each. People were not putting towels down to reserve a lounger. Evening entertainment was decent, we were out during the day so did not experience the day time pool activities. The beach is a 2-5min walk away. There are supermarkets a few doors down and restaurants and bars within walking distance. Our only disappointment was that the room was not cleaned on the first day, and when it was cleaned the bedsheet smelled damp. The hotel have a good scheme, if you sign up to not having your room cleaned everyday, they credit you 15 euros for each day. This money was deducted from our final bill and essentially paid for our drinks. It would be great if they could put a kettle and Two mugs in the rooms. We bought our own from here to take after reading on other reviews. We would definitely return to this hotel.
