Terrible customer service. We can’t recommend staying here. We were refused our booking as our only mode of transport is a small (transit size) English campervan, smaller than most North American trucks. The reason being that we might sleep in the van or make breakfast in the van (despite paying for a room in the cabin). If we wanted to do that we’d obviously stay in a campsite. We offered to park as far away from the property as possible with the vehicle still being in a safe place. We also asked if there was anywhere nearby we could park it safely offsite to ensure that we would not “sleep and cook breakfast” in it, however we did not receive a reply. It was out of courtesy that we asked if there was room to park the van. There is no mention of specific vehicle requirements when booking. We could have just booked the property and I guess would have been refused entry on arrival. We own holiday rentals ourselves back home and would never refuse accommodation due to our guests vehicles. This is all the more frustrating as my brother is visiting from the UK and wanted to surf in the area. As previously stated, based on our experience, we think the service is terrible and we can’t recommend considering staying here. We currently live in our camper and have travelled across North America occasionally staying in different properties due to extreme weather or well deserved rest bite and have never been refused. We are very disappointed.
