Our stay at the Arsi Hotel in Alanya was unfortunately a major disappointment. The hotel was not clean at all. The rooms were very small and dirty, which made our stay extremely unpleasant. Another point that really bothered us was the lack of bottled water. Instead, there was water from water dispensers, which were very unhygienic and also dirty. The location of the hotel is misleadingly described. Although it is actually only a 2-minute walk from the beach, this beach actually belongs to another hotel. You have to pay 210 TL per person to use it. The actual beach of the Arsi Hotel is about a 10-minute walk away, and you supposedly don't have to pay for the sunbeds there. However, it is definitely not a sandy beach. There are several large rocks in the sea that cannot be removed for "nature conservation reasons". Several guests, including us, injured themselves on these rocks. The food at the hotel was OK - there was little choice, but we didn't go hungry. The quality of service was mixed: some staff were nice, others were not. What was particularly annoying was that our plates were taken away while we were still eating. Before you come to Alanya, you need to know one thing: this city is very overpriced. When we ate a Margarita pizza outside, we had to pay €9 for a pizza. The shopping mile also has nothing to offer in my opinion. Firstly, it is very expensive and when there are 30 shops, you find the same thing everywhere. You can't discover anything different at all. Overall, we cannot recommend the Arsi Hotel in Alanya. There are many better options in the area.
