La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Birmingham Homewood

Hotel is dirty and needs updating. Our room wasn’t very clean and the pool area was dirty too. We were surprised at the garbage, broken and dirty tables and the mulch that was all over. No one cleaned it up during our stay. The outside area could have been wonderful but it wasn’t. The breakfast bar was limited. One of the serving trays was empty the whole time we were there. The staff were very nice but they seemed to be very short staffed. We would not recommend this hotel.

Overall... it gets the job done. TV broken and not resolved during stay. We just watched the walls all weekend. Breakfast was just a fast and a break from real food and not compensated for the inconvenience of TV. It's not how you start...it is how you finish and at checkout we were told those 6 little words we just love to hear as consumers....."There is nothing I can do".

Quiet, clean, friendly and efficient! Had a very nice experience. Breakfast was not Keto friendly but that was not a surprise. It is in an area that is just far enough off the beaten path that it feels very private, yet is still very close to the highway.

They stay was horrible, the rooms was dirty with Roaches in the bathroom, and there wasn't any breakfast to eat that morning around 8am. I really thought we were stay at a great place. My husband and I was so disappointed. We there in town for a funeral.

Me and my kids came to Birmingham for my daughter’s graduation. When we arrived the front desk clerk was so nice and helpful. The rooms are nice. The beds are terrible they are hard as a brick and the pillows was not decent either. I didn’t get much sleep because of the hard bed and pillow felt like I was laying on the floor. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned at all. There was pee around the toilet. Hair all over the tub and inside the tub. All over the toilet. I ended up cleaning everything so my kids could take a shower. The house keepers need to be retrained on how to clean. Or someone needs to go behind them.
