The Capaldi Hotel, Restaurant & Spa

Beautiful hotel. My teenage son and I stayed here for 4 nights after spending a week in a Riad in Marrakesh. It was the perfect way to end our holiday after the hussle and bustle of the city centre. This place is just gorgeous. The grounds are maintained beautifully, the staff can’t do enough to help and it’s amazing value for money. We visited in July, which is their ‘off season’ due to the temps being so high. It was between 38°c-45°c whilst we visited, but didn’t struggle with the heat at all. Plenty of shaded places to rest and eat. And the Air Con in the room was excellent. The hotel was very quiet because of the time of year and high temps, but if I were to visit again, I would go at the same time. It felt as though we had our own palace for a few days. Carole (manager) can’t do enough for you. By day 2 we felt like part of the family. They arranged day trips and taxis and just added the cost to the room bill. So effortless. The hotel pools are gorgeous and perfect for bathing in. The sun loungers have really thick mattresses and are so comfortable. The hotel also has its own cinema, which definitely isn’t an afterthought. It really was very impressive. My son and I watched a film one evening and had the cinema to ourselves. A special experience. The food was exceptional. A varied menu which changed everyday, and at a very high standard for really reasonable prices. If you’re unsure about staying here, just do it. You won’t be disappointed.

It’s a 45 minute drive to the Capaldi hotel in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. We hired a car for the week - but driving in Morocco is not for the faint hearted - it added to our experience. There are easy transfers and trips out from the hotel available if you want this. From the moment we arrived we were impressed. All the staff are helpful, polite and made the whole stay effortless. We were welcomed and shown to an upgraded garden suite - with outside terrace, rooftop terrace, large bedroom and dressing area with shower, bath, twin sinks and a separate toilet. The whole site is well thought out and beautifully maintained. We were positioned between the smaller heated swimming pool and the larger unheated pool. We were welcomed with a drink in the restaurant and sat outside every evening for our evening meal. We stayed for seven nights and every night the menu changed with a good choice of delicious starters, mains and desserts. We thoroughly enjoyed every meal and there were a wide range of delicious wines on offer chosen by the owner Ed. Carole the hotel manager was truly a wonderful lady - she was so friendly and bent over backwards to give advice on trips out, sorting out a golf reservation for my husband in Marrakesh and sorting out an afternoon in the onsite cinema to watch the final Newcastle United match of the season. Both pools were lovely and there wereso many places to sit and relax around the site in the shade, with a drink or lying by the pool. The onsite spa was fabulous too. My husband and I both had three treatments over the time we stayed. The traditional Hammam massage is not something I have ever experienced before and it was invigorating and left my skin amazingly soft. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for something different. We also went for a trek in the lower hills of the Atlas Mountains with a guide and had a traditional Moroccan lunch in a local village made by a lovely lady. It was a very interesting way to experience and learn about Moroccan culture and life first hand. Ed the owner of the Capaldi hotel came around each evening to chat to the guests and made us feel very welcome. It was truly a luxurious oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh and I left feeling relaxed and I highly recommend a stay at the Capaldi Hotel, everything about it was magical - thank you!

We wanted to relax and chill out for a few days while in Morocco. The hotel has very nice gardens and pool areas where one can relax and enjoy the great weather. The rooms are a good size and the beds are very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurant during the evening and had two very good meals although the choice of dishes is limited. The only criticism was that the waiters were not always attentive during breakfast and during the day when one wanted to order a drink. Overall though we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting some good quality down time.
