The hotel is halfway up the mountain, and you can see the whole mountain through the window. It's not far from Akureyri's pedestrian street, and it takes 10 minutes to walk there. There seems to be a citizen hot spring bath next to the hotel, and there is a parking lot downstairs, which is quite convenient.

Very good hotel with great breakfast, just one downside about the bathroom which was separated into two, a shower area (without a door) and a toilet/sink area. The location is on the heights of the city but next to the city center.

It's close to a supermarket and uses L'OCCITANE for supplies. The afternoon tea (5200 kronor per person) in the attached restaurant is delicious, and the hot cocoa (900 kronor) is delicious. I was lucky enough to see the Aurora right in front of the hotel.
