Elektra Hotel

We spent a very pleasant and relaxing week at the Elektra hotel. Beautiful, clean swimming pool with not too much chlorine. Short 150m walk to the small beach with free sunbeds and a bar, and it was never too busy. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean with an amazing view of the sea from the balcony. The staff were incredible, nothing was too much for them and always done with a smile. A ge=m The buffet breakfast was more than adequate. It was a 25 minute walk to Paleros where we occasionally ate in the evening at some excellent restaurants. We also ate at the hotel several evenings where the food was again of an excellent standard and very reasonable price. We didn't hire a car so we didn't visit any other towns or beaches, something we may want to do next time. Can thoroughly recommend this small, very friendly, family run hotel.

Very nice clean hotel with spacious rooms overlooking the sea and mountains. 100 meters downhill is a public beach with free sunchairs and umbrellas as well as a small bar/cafe that run the area. A really big plus for the hotel. We used the nice beach more since the hotel has a silent period from 3pm to 5pm where the pool is closed. ( we knew that prior to booking) A very strange thing indeed and not something I have ever experienced before. Doesn’t really get the concept after being there, since there is nothing silent about the restaurant area next to the pool. If the beach wasn’t available, I could not recommend the hotel after having stayed there alone for that reason. Especially not with kids. Food wise it is not an experience to eat at the hotel though it it is said to be Greek cuisine but a bit too simple. Ok for lunch if you choose the Club Sandwich. The breakfast is very good and you won’t miss anything here. There is a good 20 minutes walk to the city of Paleros so suggest to walk down and take a taxi back for 7 euros. Paleros is quick to run through and main attraction is the many seaside restaurants with good food. Other than that, not much else to do here than enjoy the sun at the nice beach and walk to the town for dinner and see the sun set against the mountains in the evenings.
