性價比很高的酒店，鍋碗瓢盆都齊全，冰箱洗衣機乾衣機都有，準備可以住一段時間。早餐不錯。之前晚上看到火燒雲。

Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Route 1 und bietet sich für einen Zwischenstop an. Wir hatten ein sehr geräumiges Apartment mit großer Küche. Alles sehr gut eingerichtet, sogar ein Wasch-Trockner war im Bad vorhanden. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und haben uns ein Abendessen zubereitet, obwohl das Restaurant eigentlich geschlossen war.

Das gebuchte 3-Bett Studio war in *********** als mit Whirlpool ausgestattet angegeben, und mit einem Fluss- und Bergblick. Zum Einen hat das Studio keinen Whirlpool auf der kleinen vorgebauten Terrasse, sondern lediglich eine Hot-tub, die sich im Allgemeinbereich befindet, ebenso wie eine kleine Sauna. Zum Anderen g3eht die Aussicht vom Zimmer auf einen parkplatzartigen Bereich zwischen zwei Gebäuden (siehe Foto), wobei die motelartig angelegten Zimmer von außen teilweise eingesehen werden können, wenn die Jalousie offen ist. Dabei wäre das Studio selbst modern ausgestattet, geräumig, mit einer gut eingerichteten Küche, wobei der Flatscreenfernseher allerdings weniger als eine handvoll unverschlüsselter Programme anbietet. Aber schließlich sollen Kinder auch einmal weg vom Bildschirm. Als Kompensation für den fehlenden Whirlpool erhielten wir ein Abendessen im angeschlossenen Restaurant, das ausgesprochen wohlschmeckend war. Insgesamt bietet die kleine Karte etliche Speisen, alle unter 23€. Der Besitzer ist ein freundlicher Mensch und man könnte gerne 4 Sterne geben, wenn die Beschreibung des Zimmers nicht dermaßen irreführend wäre und damit den hohen Preis (220€/Nacht) nicht rechtfertigte.

A group of friends going to what we Icelanders call “jólahlaðborð” or Christmas buffet decided to make a week-end of it. Laxárbakki is only about half an hours drive north of Reykjavík, so close enough so that it was not a major roadtrip but far enough to feel like a true get-away. The hotel is family-owned and -run and we got that warm family feeling throughout our stay. The check-in was probably the fastest I have experienced and what a delight to go into our spotless clean hotel-apartment, with our own balcony (although, Iceland in Dec is not really full of balcony moments... 😊) We had our little spa-moment in the hot tub and sauna before getting ready for the buffet. The food was delicious and again that warm family feeling was present with three generations working in the restaurant that night. After a night filled with excellent food, drinks and lots of laughter we got a real good night’s sleep in a new and comfortable bed in a very quiet environment. I will be recommending this place to friends and family looking for a nice get-away-treat and also those going for “jólahlaðborð”. For foreign visitors I can also recommend both the hotel and restaurant if you want to stay close to but not in Reykjavík. It is right off the main road (so no time wasted on a detour) but in a quiet and beautiful spot. p.s. the photo is of the balcony and view from our room

This is a great room for the price and had a kitchenette,fridge,etc. Wish we could have stayed at this location more than one night. We had some rain along the way and it was nice to have use of the washer and dryer. The only downfall was that the seal in our shower was not tight which caused quite a mess and a larger need for the dryer that was available. The hike to glymur is close from this location as well. The owner was also very pleasant and personable.

Perdu au milieu de nulle part on prend conscience de l'étendue de l'Islande. On peut y faire une belle promenade après le dîner. Chambre désuète, très petite qui ressemble à une auberge de jeunesse. Salle d eau petite et basique également. Bon accueil. Plat local très cher pour un simple parmentier de poisson : 2800 ISK : 23 € !! Petit déjeuner correct, sans plus. Je ne conseille pas.

Nous avons eu la chance d’être surclassé dans un appartement avec une cuisine et une salle de bain. Tout était très propre et très bien entretenu. Restaurant sur place avec bar et petit déjeuner (réserver la veille). Sauna et jaccuzi compris ! Parfait pour un prix très raisonnable !

Scelto per la posizione e per le condiozioni climatiche che durante il viaggio, fine marzo quasi, sono peggiorate molto velocemente. il psoto è molto basic, ma si sta bene.è un pò isolato forse, ma come gran parte dei posti sull'isola. Proprietario gentile e disponibilie. lui è anche cuoco, addetto al checkin e checkout, un pò il tuttofare del posto. è possibile scegliere se alloggiare in una stanza singola oppure condividere un appartamento con altri alloggiatori, ovvimante con bagno in comune. pulizia nulla da criticare. Siamo rimasti con amici per una sola notte. cena a base di merluzzo con patate e colazione salata abbondante in modalità buffet. prezzi nella media locale.

We very much enjoyed the hospitality of the hosts on our trip up the west coast of Iceland. They were warm and inviting. It felt almost like we were with family. The rooms were worth the price but not anything spectacular. It is a good place to stay enroute.
