Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Higashiyama Grand Hotel

Everything was great (´∀`) except that I couldn't use Wi-Fi, which was a shame.

The staff were very kind and it was nice. They also had baby food available, which I brought with me but it's a great service for those who forget to bring it. Because it's deep in the mountains, Wi-Fi only works around the front desk, but you can use your smartphone etc. so it's not a problem if you don't mind. My child seemed a little disappointed that he couldn't connect to the internet to play games, but there were plenty of entertainment options available so he still enjoyed himself. My mother was a little disappointed that there was no local sake in the shop (bitter smile). You can drink it at the buffet or in the restaurant on the first floor, but it was a shame because she wanted to enjoy it in her room. I'm sure everyone buys it before going to the inn but we forgot and I was hoping that there would be some in the shop with the souvenirs so I was a little sad. But overall it's a very nice inn.

The location is a bit remote. Transportation is relatively inconvenient. The equipment and decoration are old.

The location was far from the city center, and there was nothing around! There was no WiFi in the rooms, only in the lobby. I was surprised at how anachronistic it was. There was also no phone in the room, so I had to contact the front desk by cell phone. There were few parking spaces near the hotel, so I had to walk quite far. I was surprised that the beer was served in a plastic container, especially after such a fun dinner.

The building has been renovated, the rooms and dining area are clean, the price is reasonable and the service is polite.

The breakfast and dinner buffet was delicious. However, the dining room was a little cold. I wish the bath was open 24 hours a day.

The all-you-can-drink alcohol was great. The food wasn't the best, but there was a lot of choice and I was full.

It's not cleaned properly and is full of dust and spider webs!
