If you want a modern hotel with plastic furniture and plastic service then give this place a miss. If, on the other hand you fancy a wonderful experience in a place full of charm and character then this is for you.. Clement is the perfect host, providing a simple but perfectly adequate breakfast and always on hand to provide tea and coffee and helpful tourist information. We are back next spring!

My husband and I loved our stay at Chateau de Saint-Girons! The room was very clean and spacious with a modern bathroom and views of the pool and garden. The grounds and chateau were extremely charming, and the host, Clement, was so helpful -- quick to respond and had some great recommendations for things to do in the area. The location feels very relaxing, like being in the country, but it's only ~5 minutes drive from the city of Aix-en-provence. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area!

This place is a real gem. We couldn't have been made more welcome by Clement who is a superb host, giving us great recommendations on restaurants and local info. The property is lovely and our suite was large and extremely comfortable. Only 15 minutes from Marseille airport and 7 mins from the centre of Aix en Provence ( by Uber) it couldn't have been more convenient for discovering the area. If there's availability, book (preferably directly with the property)! It's a real find.

This is an exquisitely beautiful property inside and out. It was like staying in a castle updated of course with well appointed furnishings, bathroom fixtures, etc. Our room was a large sized suite, the breakfast was very good, the grounds are beautiful and walkable, and the location quiet but a short driving distance from Aix-en-Provence and the airport at Marseilles. Perfect in every way.

A nice setting. It was a bit messy due to the high winds with leaves & debris scattered about. I’m sure that it would look nice when the weather was calmer and they’d had a chance to catch up on yard work which would have been pointless during the windy conditions. The overall state of the stately home was more rustic & worn. For the price paid, we expected a more substantial breakfast and more modern amenities such as the bathroom, lighting, power outlets, etc. The location was good with easy access to both Aix-en-Provence and restaurants and services in the immediate area. The host and his family were friendly & charming.
