Nice resort with beautiful and peaceful lagoon. The bungalow is fantastic but the facilities are quite basic. No quilt on bed. There is scale in kettle so the water tastes quite weird after boiling. Restaurant is good！Breakfast including complementary hot meal order and the dinner meal is delicious. Overall this is a good resort but hope the hotel management can make more efforts in improving the room facilities.

Traumhaftes Resort, tolles Restaurant
Wichtig vorweg: wir schreiben hier über unsere Erfahrung in eines der Bungalows aus dem Adult only-Abschnitt. Diese sind aus unserer Sicht ein klein wenig besser instandgehalten und schöner. Wir hatten um zwei Nächte verlängert und mussten dazu in den allgemeinen bzw. Familienbereich. Das Bungalow war sogar noch etwas größer, aber dafür schon ein wenig älter bzw. nicht mehr alles perfekt in Schuss.
Wir hatten in dem Resort eines der schönsten Urlaube unseres Lebens. Die Unterkunft war traumhaft, sie ist groß, sauber, perfekt ausgestattet (Kühlschrank, kleine Küche, Safe) und super gelegen. Es ist sehr ruhig und angenehm. Hervorzuheben ist auf jeden Fall das Restaurant. Wir haben die BBQ-Night (Buffet für 55 NZD p.P.) am Sonntag mitgemacht. Das Essen war sensationell. Auch sie Island Night for 85 NZD mit der Show und dem Essen war super. Das Frühstück wählt man sich a la carte und hat zudem ein kleines Buffet. Es gibt Fahrräder, SUP und Kajaks, die man sich unangemeldet und kostenlos ausleihen kann. Die Mitarbeiter am Empfang haben für uns auch alle Touren gebucht, was wirklich super war. Alles in allem ein unvergessliches Erlebnis.

Tamanu promotes itself as Casual Luxury. It's casual - and very nice - but not luxurious. The rooms need a bench or table on which to lay out clothes, you have to live out of suitcases in the cramped kitchen. The kitchen needs more than cheap plastic glasses - a couple of small plates and some cutlery should be provided so that you can enjoy a snack on the deck. The TV really should have an extensive menu of statins, including streaming services. These are small costs when set against rates above NZ$600 per night. The cycles are killers and should be replaced or avoided. Having said that we really enjoyed our stay and wish new manager Erin all the best. Luxury is down the road at the Pacific Resort.

Unglaublich schönes Resort und tolles Restaurant

Wir hatten nach 4 wundervollen Nächten in Adult only-Abschnitt um zwei Nächte verlängert und sind dazu in dem Familienbereich gewechselt. Diese sind aus unserer Sicht ein klein wenig schlechter instandgehalten und älter, aber dafüe sogar noch etwas größer. Trotzdem in allem ein tolles Bungalow.

We had a water front vila. What a stunning view. Enjoyed a quiet dinner for two on our verandah in an idealic spot. The room was huge with seperate living area, large bedroom and bathroom.
