Riad Caravane is exactly the type of intimate, character-filled place we dreamed of staying in while in Morocco, and it was one of our favorite riads during our 3 week trip around the country. We really wished that we could have stayed longer. Slimane greeted us warmly upon arrival, gathered our passports, showed us to our elegant room and invited us to come to the lounge or rooftop for tea once we'd settled in. We chose the rooftop and relaxed there with refreshments admiring the views while he took care of our paperwork. Such a perfect introduction to the riad! Afterwards, he walked us over to the start of the garden path that leads to Ait Ben Haddou so we could walk to the top and explore the ksar, entertaining us with amusing stories on the way. Everyone who works in the riad is delightful and helpful, though we especially connected with Slimane. Our spacious room, with a beautiful view of the landscape, and the common spaces were thoughtfully designed and exceedingly comfortable. The rainfall shower was excellent and we appreciated the great lighting in the bathroom. There's a lovely pool in the garden, though we didn't have a chance to take a plunge. We were very impressed with the quality of the food at both dinner and breakfast. The dining room is lovely and service was personable and attentive. We truly couldn't have been happier here.
