Another tired old hotel expecting a premium price for what? The small TV? The lousy breakfast? The crappy AC? The soft bed? The unusable shower? Don’t!

The location is great, since it is right downtown close to all the shops and restaurants. We stayed in one of the back bldgs in Rm 324 and the beds were extremely soft, causing back pain for both of us. The breakfast was continental buffet and is identical to a Residence Inn or other places that include breakfast -rehydrated, flavorless scrambled, previously frozen hash brown potato square, undercooked bacon, grocery store mini-muffins, etc. It's too bad, as the main house is lovely, but the value and comforts just aren't there. Great location though. Too bad.

This is a beautiful hotel, in a lovely town. The rooms are excellent and spacious. The hotel has a wonderful southern charm and the staff are first class. The location is in the centre of Aiken, a genuinely little gem of a town. Everything is in walking distance. It's a great place to stay.

The CUTEST inn. Very authentic for what it advises. Staff is friendly and welcoming. My room was clean, aesthetically pleasing, and felt like I was literally at my parents house (homey). Also the price was extremely fair. The only down side was there is no fridge! Having it be my first time in Aiken and being a foodie I couldn’t take leftovers but it’s not the end of the world. Will definitely stay again upon my next trip down.

My only complaint: I thought breakfast was misleading. I anticipated a home cooked southern repast. Instead it was on menu as continental: fine, but pre packaged stuff (Little Debbie muffins, toaster waffles, pre-made croissant egg and sausage for microwave. ) . Perfectly adequate! But same as Holiday Inn. I'm no foodie but I'd anticipated a Southern grits and egg bfast. Lovely place though!
