Absolutely stunning hotel in a great location for Machu Picchu. The restaurant was incredible and the food delicious. Staff were very attentive and friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable. River view rooms can be quite loud from both the noise of the river and road noise from the buses.

I recently dined at Sumaq Restaurant with my sister , and it was excellent. Our server, Gloria, was awesome—friendly and full of recommendations about the menu. We chose the pasta with vegetables highlighting the taste of Peruvian cuisine. Gloria’s attentive but unobtrusive service made our dinner extra special. If you're at Sumaq, ask for her—you won’t be disappointed! Highly recommend!

We were in Machu Picchu for two nights. The Sumaq Hotel exceeded our expectations. The river rooms are worth booking as they have a lovely outlook and sound of water. The service was universally of the highest standard. The food was a highlight. We had the tasting menu, looked after by George. The food was as good as anything we have eaten and the service was amazing. The wine pairing was exceptional. George was knowledgeable and made us feel very special. A wonderful addition to the wonder of Machu Picchu.

Loved this hotel! We stayed here on a Smithsonian tour and it was amazing. The room is right on the river and the sound of the water put us right to sleep. Also loved the quality of the linens and the bed was super comfortable. Great location. Great restaurant. Highly recommend b

We stayed here 2 days and loved it. The staff are very friendly, warm and friendly. Our room was excellent; very comfortable and stylish. We ate here in the evening and the meal was absolutely delicious, particularly the ceviche. The service was great too from all staff, Milagros in particular. Thank you for a fantastic stay and great memories.

Warm and professional check-in. Wonderful large room with jacuzzi bath. Delicious lunch - fresh homemade rolls and soup, tasty, large portions. Lots of choice for vegetarians. All staff were friendly, approachable and helpful. They kindly offered to transport our bags up the hill to the train station after check-out. The overall impression is a very well run hotel with great customer service (they anticipate what we need before we know ourselves!). Highly recommend.

The SUMAQ is so beautiful! We got a refreshing drink when we checked in. The staff was so helpful, especially Sebastian who carried our massive suitcase from the train station to the hotel and then 2 days later pulled it up the big hill back to the train station. He was ready to help with anything! The staff always made sure we had clean water and the food was AMAZING! Highly recommend!!
