Miramare Resort & Spa

Excellent hotel, food, service and rooms were very good. View if you have a sea view room absolutely beautiful. It's a 15 minute walk into centre. Weather was nearly 30c each day. Booked Spinalonga from hotel cheaper than Jet 2 . Had a trip to Elounda 20 euros by taxi each way. We hope the hotel recognises Manolito the bar man, such a lovely man and excellent customer service from him. Would definitely visit again.

Spent 15 days at Miramare and overall it is a lovely resort of which we would definitely return to. The views from all angles of the hotel couldn’t be much better to be honest. We paid for the cheapest room with a balcony and the decor is dated. But the bed was large & comfy, it had fantastic aircon, the shower was 10/10 and the room was cleaned every day, so that’s all I cared about. If decoration bothers you that much I would suggest you pay for a more premium room, or pick another hotel. Staff across the hotel are spot on, no complaints there. We even had our suitcases carried to our room on arrival which is a nice touch. But a huge shoutout to the restaurant staff and of course the chefs. Always smiling, happy and helpful, they fully deserved the amount of tips they received on a daily basis! We were all inclusive (blue band) and the food throughout the 2 weeks was lovely. Plenty of options for every single meal on every single day. Greek salads will be missed! My partner who I consider fairly fussy with food, ate at Miramare with no problems. The all day breakfast options could have been a bit hotter tho! If you love your alcohol, spend a bit more money and go all inclusive plus or premium, so that you at least have some cocktail options. However if you’re not, the standard all inclusive will be plenty. Lots of steps and inclines at the resort, so could be a problem for some. However there are lifts scattered about that do help. The views well make up for the steps though of course! The pools (2 large, 1 smaller) are all clean and managed. Absolutely no sun bed wars going on during the 2 weeks so I’m sure that will make some people happy to read. The walk to Agios Nikolaos takes about 15 or so minutes and it is a lovely but quiet city. It’s very pretty at night! Not that many excursions and whatnot to do from the Agios area, especially during October so that’s definitely worth noting for people that like to get out and about like myself. But as the review is strictly for the resort I’m still giving it 5 stars! In an ideal world I would pick Miramare up, move it further up the island to the more lively locations with more trips and then spend a day or 2 of the holiday visiting Agios, as it is a very nice place. Also a must visit place is Voulisma Beach. Easily the best one in the area. Bus journey was less than 30 minutes there if I remember correctly. Anyways, lovely resort, lovely staff and lovely food. The sign of a well run establishment and makes it 5* in my opinion, is when you have a complaint and the first member of staff you speak to, carefully listens, shows empathy and takes action to rectify the situation. This is what myself and my wife experienced the day we arrived at the Miramare Hotel. The first room we were allocated was completely unsatisfactory on many levels, too numerous to mention. We even got the feeling they were expecting our complaint due to the location of the room. However we very fortunate indeed to speak with Elaini at reception, who we can only say was an absolute star. She demonstrated from minute one a determination to resolve our dissatisfaction and in her words she was going to make us happy. Within a couple of hours after speaking with her manager Yanni, who was also extremely helpful and kind, our luggage was transferred to another room, which was stunning with a beautiful uninterrupted sea view. Their actions and outcome most certainly exceeded our expectations. Elaini and Yanni did succeeded in making us happy and turning our week long stay into a very memorable and enjoyable holiday. Overall the hotel location, facilities and service provided were excellent and would highly recommend this Hotel. In addition to Elaini and Yanni, we must mention Yannis on reception and Manulito and his team at the bar, their customer care and service excellence was first class.

We are a group of 11 people here now at the Miramare. We thought at first it may have been quite a task us being a big group to accomodate us but the staff have been so so kind to us all. May i add. The staff throughout the hotel are so lovely. The views are just to die for. We have all had an unforgetable holiday. Thank you Miramare. See you next year x
