Of all the places in the world we’ve traveled, staying at Caramel was one of the best experiences my family and I have ever had. The food, the atmosphere, the service, all 10/10. Truly a one of a kind place and we can’t wait to get back there already.

If you want to travel to Crete and have an unforgettable experience, look no further. Caramel Hotel was an incredible, relaxing, and memorable hotel we visited. The hospitable staff and customer service are unmatched. Panos and Alex, in particular, made our stay welcoming and special. The views from our villa were stunning, the food was top-tier, and the cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable. Thank you to the entire staff for their warm reception! My family and I anticipate on coming back again!

This is a lovely hotel with just 69 rooms that feels small and intimate, but with enough going on. The positives start with the amazing staff. They work incredibly hard, are all lovely and brilliantly engaging with the kids. They don't appear to have any time off at all but maintain amazing energy and cannot do enough to help. Pool is beautiful, ready well designed to have plenty of shallow areas for little ones.. Lovely comfy loungers and no shortage of beds. Beach, likewise, is nice, has its own bar/cafe and you can hire gazebos to get a bit more protection than the umbrellas provide. Water is shallow for quite a way out, but you need shoes to be comfortable on the rocky sea floor. Food on the whole was very good. Buffet breakfast has huge variety and is very tasty. From healthy to lashings of pancakes with chocolate sauce. Found dinner to be a bit samey. Buffet was again nice and good variety, but the a la carte restaurant has an unchanged menu throughout the 10 nights we stayed which is a bit poor. Foot quality excellent though. We stayed in a family suite which was probably the main disappointment. Rooms are a Little basic, lack for drawer/cupboard storage and the curtains don't block out the light which is a bit painful for hoping the kids lie in or for getting our little one to have an afternoon nap. Easy to get into Rethymno and would recommend having dinner out a few times to break the above. Galera restaurant a nice location and great food. Overall lovely, and we might well be back. Hope they sharpen up the rooms and add menu variety.

Great hotel! Great staff! Clean, maintained, beautiful! We had best vacation ever! The food is perfect, great variety. Lovely la cart restaurant. The guest manager is gorgeous! Highly recommended place! We will definitely visit the hotel again next summer!
