Zeus Hotels Ydoria Resort

Location: The hotel is conveniently located near shops, restaurants, and car rental services, and is approximately 150 meters from the sea. However, guests must cross a road or pass through another hotel to access the beach, which some found inconvenient.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever been to! The food was always amazing and much variety. Also a lot of options for vegan and gluten free food (the gluten free options were really good! Especially the pizza!). The rooms were all good, nothing to complain about. All of the pools were good and were cleaned every morning. The animation team here was totally amazing!! There were activities all day (such as water polo, dart, ping pong and much more), a kids club and mini discos for them, and for the “adults” there were night shows every evening with different themes. There was also a bus station at the hotel where you could get to the center of Rethymnon, which was so beautiful. The hotel was also really close to the beach, around a 5 minute walk. The animation team we got at the time was Tekla, Rico and Angela. They were all amazing and made you feel comfortable. The other personal here at the hotel was also so kind and amazing. Over all this hotel is a 10/10. And the animation team gets a 20/10

Me and my family including 3 children aged 8, 6 and 3 stayed at Ydoria Resort at the end of June for a week. The holiday started with a pleasant unexpected semi private transfer meaning we got to the hotel much sooner than expected. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Can see the new renovation did have some rushed bits (different tile colour around the pool edge) but nothing that would affect the stay. We requested for a cot to be put into the room and this was delivered the next day and fully set up so was happy our request was handled in a timely manner. The hotel food was varied and lots to choose from for everyone. Chips and pizza was a given staple at most lunch and dinner times as well as other dishes to make it varied. Salad items were always available and a variety of desserts. Fruit and ice cream also always served. The self service to drinks as well was great for us. The staff were friendly and helpful, hotel was always cleaned regularly and beds made fresh daily as well as bottled water replenished. The entertainment team - Angela, Tekla and Rico were amazing. My children loved them and provided great entertainment day and night. The kids club was lovely and lots of different activities for all ages to do. We had a room with a private pool which was amazing but also 3 other main deep pools, another with water slides that my 2 older kids loved and then 2 shallow splash pools so we’re truly spoilt for choice. Also lots of sun loungers so never short for a spot or getting up early to grab one. The bar food was great as well, especially the gyros but again lots of choice - burgers, pizza, hotdogs, chips and other bits which was nice. Lots to do locally / def recommend a visit to the old town (€2 bus trip - but remember to get the tokens from the shop opposite) Beach was literally 5 minute walk but was very pebbly and had large cliff type rocks but my kids loved it for looking for crabs and fish. The only thing I would say there was no where to hang wet clothes/towels to dry. Some kind of extendable wall bars would be great. Overall an amazing family holiday, one we won’t forget anytime soon and would definitely recommend this hotel.
