Zufahrt über Naturstrasse. Sehr schöne, gepflegte Anlage mit vielen Blumen und Pflanzen. Unterkünfte in 11 Bungalows. Wir hatten einen Bungalow mit grossem Wohn-/Schlafteil, separater Lounge-Raum, separater Raum für Kleider und Gepäck mit Safe, grosses Bad mit Wanne, 2 Duschen, separate Toilette, Freiluftdusche, gute Beleuchtung, überall Anschlüsse für elektrische Geräte. Viele kleine Aufmerksamkeiten zum Willkomm, am Abend Lindor-Schokoladekugeln auf dem Bett mit netten Gutenachtwünschen. Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen (auch Schaumwein), alles vorhanden, was man sich vorstellen kann. Gutes Nachtessen mit 3-Gang-Menü, je 2 Varianten zur Auswahl, sehr gut zubereitet, Service immer sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend, auf Sonderwünsche wird hilfsbereit eingegangen. Safari mit eigenem Geländefahrzeug, 15 Minuten Fahrt bis zum Eingang des Addo Elephant National Parks, guter Fahrer/Ranger

Wunderschöne, sehr gepflegte Unterkunft. Die Manager Eduan und Freddie tun alles, um einen rundum entspannten Aufenthalt sicher zu stellen. Rund 10 Fahrminuten zum Haupttor des Addo-Parks. Das Essen, gerade auch das Frühstück, war ausgezeichnet. Und auch wir hatten das Glück, an allen drei Abenden beim Abendessen von Eddie und seinem Klavier begleitet zu werden. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer mit eigener Terrasse mit Pool und Liegen unter Palmen. Die Zimmer sind blitzsauber mit dem Flair vergangener Zeiten, das Badezimmer ist ebenfalls sehr groß und modern eingerichtet. Der Garten mit Pool ist ebenfalls wunderschön und geschmackvoll angelegt. Das Highlight ist aber die große Terrasse über dem Teich, man kann den vielen Vögeln oder den kleinen Affen zusehen während man frühstückt. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist ebenfalls sehr schön und liebevoll gestaltet. Das Abendessen ist sehr zu empfehlen. Das Woodall Country House liegt ganz in der Nähe des Addo Elephant Park, Fahrten dorthin werden ebenfalls organisiert. Mr. Eduan, der Manager des Hauses, kümmert sich sehr um das Wohl seiner Gäste. Wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Alles perfect! Als we dan kritisch moeten zijn, dan was het dat we er waren net in de week van Europese schoolvakanties en Woodall populair blijkt bij gezinnen met jonge kinderen, terwijl wij rust verwachten in zo’n dure accommodatie.

Wunderschönes geräumiges Zimmer, extrem freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, tolles Essen und super Lage in der Nähe des Addo Elefantenparks. Geführte Touren von der Lodge aus in den Addo mit herrlichem Frühstück im Park. Haben Elefanten, Zebras, Varktaks und viele andere Tiere gesehen.

Hier muss man sich einfach wohlfühlen! Mitten in einer Plantage, umgeben von einem perfekten Garten, empfängt das Haus seit 31 Jahren seine Gäste. Wir hatten eine riesige Suite mit einem eigenen kleinen Pool, in der man den Charme der vergangenen Zeiten spüren konnte. Ein Highlight ist die Terrasse, auf der gespeist wird. Direkt an/über einem Teich mit zahlreichen Vögeln gelegen wird serviert. Sehr umfangreiches tolles Frühstück und ein leckeres Abendessen. Elefanten-Liebhabern ist eine Safari in den Addo-Park sehr zu empfehlen, bei einer angebotenen Tour ins private Schottia Game Reserve gibt es genügend andere Tiere zu sehen. Beides ideal für Safari-Einsteiger. Guter Service, auch vom Management selbst.

Unbelievable spot of paradise just 10 minutes drive from Addo game park.
This place is tranquil, beautiful and relaxing.
From bird watching on the verandah, the spa, Freddie the pianist, Eduan and the rest of the team. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was divine.

Solo female traveler. Stayed 3 nights in a suite. Woodall is a special place, with a wonderful staff, and I enjoyed every minute of my time there. What's to love: - Eduarn, the friendly and super-capable GM, is on top of everything. Prior to my trip, he was quick to amend my booking, answer my questions, provide information before I even asked (which route to take, where to stop along the way, etc.) During the stay, he was always available and on top of everything - Freddie, the pianist/restaurant manager (?)/go-to guy, is very warm, accommodating person. He's looking out for everyone - The deck, the deck, the deck! Comfortable sitting areas with views of the very active swamp. (Ornithophiles will be in heaven here) - The lodge is very accessible: straightforward journey from Port Elizabeth, good roads. Only 90 minutes from PLZ - My suite was gigantic, and it included outdoor showers (as well as indoor), tall ceilings, a private patio surrounded by nature, a dipping pool (got a kick out of the unironic "No Lifeguard on Premises/No Diving" sign), a refrigerator, USB outlets, safe, robes, slippers, etc. Lots of natural light and fresh air. Very quiet; dark at night; and AC worked fine - Complimentary bottle of wine; chocolates every night; welcome beverage; handwritten, personalized notes. Pastries (baked onsite) available in the lobby all day - Strong WiFi in common areas and rooms - They wash the guests' cars - Extremely comfortable beds. Strong, hot showers - Charlotte Rhys bath products - Spa onsite - Adjacent to Addo Elephant Park. So easy to take a half-day safari. Breakfast is provided. Lots of elephants, viewed up close - Both Eduarn offered a "to-go" breakfast when I told them I had to depart at 5:15 a.m. - Friendly, attentive restaurant staff - On-the-ball housekeeping What could be improved: - Uncomfortable dining room chairs
