Royal Inn Rockville

For an older property, it really was not bad at all nor was it bad for the price it’s close to downtown Rockville which I recommend if you just need a place to stay for the night?

I come to Billie Creek village all the time, this is my first time not camping. The Front desk ladies have been so wonderful, The room was pretty comfortable. My friends and I enjoyed it. The breakfast was pretty small but it had favorites and I was super excited to be up in the morning for it.

Thee Worst Hotel Experience The property was run down and dirty. The pool was inoperable. There was an overall mildew smell throughout the building. We stayed five nights and our room was only cleaned when I demanded. I was told by the front desk person that the housekeeper would not be in that day. There was a cockroach in our room. The continental breakfast was the same stale cereal and mini donuts that sat out all day. There were no individual orange juices which meant that you could get a drink from the same gallon jug that was handled by everyone else. The trash was left in our room for days. I instructed my 9 year old to take it to the front desk person and inform him that it was trash. He told her to take out to the dumpster. When she told him that she could not he opened the back door and said, “Yes, you can!” Thee worst hotel stay that I’ve ever experienced in my 46 years. The Royal Inn is truly a stain on Rockville. It is beautiful town and everyone else was so kind and accommodating.

Covered Bridge Visit The Royal Inn is in an excellent location for visiting the covered bridges at Billie's Creek and it's very close to Rockville. The room we had was large and clean but the hotel itself was in poor condition. The parking lot had pot holes, the walls in the hallway by the front desk were gouged and the place just looked like it hadn't been well maintained.

Nice place to stay. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and clean. The mini fridge worked great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was so-so and the shower could have been hotter. The landscaping could use some help and the pool wasn't functional but that was not an issue for us. We would stay here again. Great value for the price.

Price is kinda right You definitely get what you pay for with this one, I guess. The front desk was friendly, and the bed was decent but the pool was empty of water, there were multiple flies in our room, the ac was super musty and loud, and the tub drain had disgusting black stuff flowing out when I turned on the faucet.
