Beautiful grounds and setting. Not quite the standard I would expect for the price. Toilet had been used in arrival & not flushed on arrival at cabin . Took 2 calls to get someone to come clean. Cabin inside arrangement need improvement for comfort. So over priced . Best thing was restaurant with excellent food. Cabins need a mirror to see yourself and cozier sitting area . So so overall nice stay but overpriced and cleanliness issuec

$270 for one of the worst massages I’ve ever had. I’m 45 years old and have had many massages in many world class spas around the world and I can confidently say this was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve ever had. The spa is beautiful but that’s where the positives end. My mom and I both saw a woman whose name begins with an “A” but I don’t remember what it was. She basically just rubbed oil on my body for an hour. It was a soulless, lifeless interaction. At one point I asked her to apply more pressure and so she intensely pressed on my body for a few minutes and then went back to simply rubbing oil on me. She seemed extremely inexperienced and disconnected from her work. After the massage she brought us lukewarm/cold tea. The sauna wasn’t hot enough - I sat in there for 15 minutes and didn’t break a sweat - the hot pool wasn’t hot enough, my mom said the steam room smelled like mildew, there were clumps of hair in the shower and the water pressure was pathetic. I had to ask for a plastic bag to put my bathing suit in (I heard another girl so the same) - why not just make them easily accessible in the locker room? The front desk staff was lovely and that was about the only positive of the experience. The hotel grounds are stunning and the restaurant was really nice but skip the spa! Very upset about spending ~$600 on two horrible massage and a deeply disappointing spa experience

Yeah no. Overpriced for what it is- a nicely designed airbnb with no basic services. Thin wall rooms. Awkward if you stay in the group cottage because you’re essentially stuck in a house with strangers. The restaurant itself was worth it though. The in house gift shop is nice

Inness is a very beautiful property but there are a few things that completely miss the mark in my opinion and our stay was overpriced at $900/night. Number one, the spa. I had an excellent massage but the waiting area and locker rooms do not offer a relaxing experience and do not warrant the price. The waiting area right outside of the men's and women's locker rooms is not very comfortable (it is essentially a hallway), does not offer a view, and just feels like a loading zone rather than part of the experience. The chairs by the spa pool are not comfortable - they should be padded or at the very least offer towels outside rather than having to search for them inside. The farmhouse pool was not open during our stay so if you are offering the spa as a replacement, make it special and comfortable. The actual location of the spa on the property is a huge miss; it should offer views, be more secluded, and not be part of the parking lot. The rooms are lovely but there should be Nespresso machines in each room rather than a French Press. The farmhouse as I mentioned was closed during our stay so the long walk up to coffee was a bit of a bummer and there should be an easier way to make coffee in the rooms. There should be a speaker in the room. In the guesthouse for coffee service there should be actual milk offered, not just plastic pods of half and half. How about real mugs? The restaurant was good but the service was spotty. Two nights in a row we were not given appetizer plates (just bread plates) and had to ask. Our second night we specifically asked for an outdoor table in the morning that day, and did not get one when we arrived despite being promised one and asking twice how to procure one (ask in the morning). We did, and did not get an outdoor table. The menu is too limited to be the only restaurant offered on the property. The first night the special ran out at 7 pm, and our second night there were no specials offered. Next time if I returned I would make reservations off the property. The pool food was quite good actually but service was spotty again - perhaps the staff was lean on this Monday. Everyone was very friendly no issues there. Overall I would say it was fine, but does not warrant paying almost $1k/night.

Hotel Review: Disappointing Experience at The Inness -- Tick Infestation and Mishandled Shipment I recently stayed at The Inness on April 21-22, renting three rooms and enjoying all our meals onsite. We also paid a $5,000 fee to hold a photoshoot outside in the field in front of the hotel. Unfortunately, our experience both during and after our stay was deeply stressful and disappointing. 1. Tick Infestation During Photoshoot While shooting outdoors on the hotel's grounds, our team encountered a serious tick infestation. This was a major health risk, especially since the hotel knew we would be outdoors but provided no warning about this known hazard. One team member has an autoimmune condition and would have refused to participate had we been informed. The lack of communication about this environmental risk shows a concerning disregard for guest safety and care. 2. Mishandling of Valuable Shipment Due to the hotel's internet failure, the front desk agreed to ship six boxes of our photoshoot materials -- valued at more than $17,000 -- on our behalf. I provided detailed Excel instructions and shipping labels the morning after our shoot, yet the hotel delayed pickup by a week and then shipped everything incorrectly. Worse, the hotel has failed to confirm that they shipped everything properly, leaving us without our goods or answers. This is bad business. Over 3 months later, none of the packages have arrived, and Innes fails to acknowledge any mistake or reimburse us in any way. This business has no morals, accountability or empathy to their clients.

The Inness could use so much more in simple basic services and amenities . A poolside attendant at the adult pool would be nice . There is no food or bar service offered . No mats on lounges that are on buggy grass . The rates are not cheap and guest comfort needs to be at the forefront at all times The dinner was excellent, the waitstaff and kitchen were very accommodating and nice. The breakfast menu could be worked on , fruit, muffins cereal ... The rooms are very minimalistic . No clock radio , the phone is on a box on the floor. mY cabin #19 is looking at two big half dead trees instead of a landscape . For my wife and I it's a one hit wonder . I was expecting so much more and was disappointed. My wife and i love to go upstate NY . This trip was a gift for my 70th birthday from a few of my nephews and we were very excited to go .

Everything was awesome!!! The grounds are incredible and so many places to walk around. Every single person of the staff was incredible. They were so nice, helpful, etc. and the restaurant on property is amazing. There wasn’t one item that wasn’t delicious. I would say the only issue is when it rains/snows. As it get muddy everyone. They have one road paved but would be cool if the other was paved and a paved walkway up to each cabin. But that’s such a minor thing compared to how awesome it is. Didn’t have time to check out their new spa but hoping to do that next time.
