The view on Lake Toya from the hotel was spectacular. We were lucky to have witnessed the cloud sea and sunrise. From the other angle, we could see the full view of Mt Yotei, also known as Hokkaido Fuji. There are few restaurants in the hotel, including the Japanese, Chinese, French, and the Italian. There was also good onsen in the hotel, both idoor and outdoor. We will definitely come back to stay again in the future.

It’s was a wonderful time visiting Rusutsu. The Westin Hotel was a great accommodation for short, medium, and long vacations. Fortunately, staffs were professional and they always had service mind. I got helped from one staff changed a wrong ski-pass to a new correct one. I stayed only for 3 days and felt so comfy. Thank you.

Excellent location with amazing view. I must say we were very lucky on our last day two of the staff member are going above and beyond to assist us to change our shuttle bus from Lake Toya to Sapporo instead of going to the airport. The two staff on our last day was super helpful they call the shuttle bus company straight away to check and not just checking the paper . ( As we have been checking 2 days in the row with other staff member but all they did was checking the paper or system) I can clearly see the difference whether the staff willing to help or not, so we were very lucky to meet the 2 senior staff on our last day in the morning who quickly fix for us. Thank you so much!! Hotel can all be the same but it depends which staff member who are willing to go above and beyond which makes a huge difference to their customer.

The hotel service is slightly inferior to other Ritz. When the hotel helped to pick up the car from the garage, the cab was covered with snow. The hotel includes breakfast, and no one can order a signature dish. After the three of us ordered, only one was served, and it was not served after that. When the people who came in after us and ordered the same meal as us came, we remembered that we asked the waiter if he could help us check when ours would be served. As a result, one waiter went to find another, and the three waiters discussed for a long time, and finally ran over to tell us that the one we ordered was gone. I asked by the way, why did the people at the next table who came later eat, but ours was gone, and why couldn't they tell us in advance? As a result, the waiter just said sorry, and then helped us order another one, and it looked rough after it was served. When we went to the hot spring, our slippers were worn by others. Finally, the ski resort is still good, but remember to make reservations for all snow activities in advance.

It is actually a fast hotel, but it accidentally drove to the side of the ski resort, and the price became extremely expensive.
So if there is no other choice, I don't recommend it.
Even if it is 1,000 per night, I still think it is expensive.
The following is a relatively objective evaluation:
The room is very small, but it is indeed very close to the Garden Ski Resort. It takes 3 minutes to walk to Hanazono 308 Base; 5 minutes to Park Hyatt, but if there is a blizzard, the road is like in Ningguta.
There are different shuttles that can take you to the welcome center, which is relatively convenient.
The most unsatisfactory thing this time is the hygiene problem:
It is understandable that Japan does not conduct thorough cleaning every day due to environmental protection issues. But on the first day of our stay, we saw a bunch of hair in the bath towel; there was a bottle of Pola facial cleanser in it, and the bottle packaging was completely different from other shower gels, so I still don’t know whether it was left by the hotel or a previous guest 😔; after the bathroom was cleaned, there were footprints of the cleaner and the bed was made, but only one was made, etc.
Above, I think this hotel is indeed only three-star standard. And the price is too high

Booked Shancui half a year in advance. All aspects of the hotel make people feel very comfortable. First of all, the location is excellent. It is 300 meters away from the tourist center. If the bus goes there, it is no problem to walk there even if you have luggage. It is all downhill. The hotel also has a car to pick up. The room I stayed in faced Mount Yotei and the other room faced the birch forest in the ski resort. The scenery was great. The sanitation was in place. One day, they helped me wash the cups in the sink. The details were also very clean. The design style of the hotel is also very pleasing. The whole is dark. When it snows, the patio in the middle is particularly beautiful. Then during the day, when you open the curtains, the outside is white and the light reflected into the house is also very soft. Because the color tone of the room is gray and warm gray, the only thing is that the lighting does not feel bright enough at night. When cooking and eating in the room, the light does not feel sufficient. Although the breakfast is similar every day, each category has high quality. I stayed for five consecutive days and did not get tired of it. Bread and butter can still be eaten. The biggest feature of the hotel should be the service. 24-hour Chinese, and there is a free shuttle bus that only needs to be booked one day in advance to go to the two supermarkets in the town. The restaurants nearby are very delicious. One day I wanted to go to the little red dot to buy stickers. Uber couldn't get a taxi at all, so I asked the hotel to help call a taxi. It's a flat rate, 300 RMB for a 3km round trip, so it's so convenient that the hotel provides free car service.

Skiers will be in heaven, but there are recreational options available for non-skiers as well, including hot springs and bicycles to rent. This is a family trip for two adults and two kids. And we stayed in the hotel for 7 nights, bfast and dinner included.
It's apparent in the booking that we will have kids in the stay, and yet either Trip.com/hotel charged us meals for 4 adults for the entire trip. We ended up overpaying A LOT and wasting A LOT of food because the kids couldn't finish the set meal. Yet the hotel refused to adjust / refund. This was a serious mistake made by Trip.com / hotel.
The hotel provided shuttle bus to the ski resort. Good that there was early shuttle bus around 815am BUT the return shuttle was way too early (4pm) for any serious skiers. The hotel should offer more options.
There was no gym in the hotel and difficult to do some proper full-body exercise.
Onsen set up was nice and clean and tidy. The public onsen wasn't used much so it ended up a big private onsen for us.
We like the traditional Japanese cusine but very disappointed that the chef provided limited changes on the menu during our 7 nights of stay. We spent roughly same number of nights elsewhere in Niseko and the design of their menu was way better.
Staff in general was very helpful and friendly and some of them spoke English and Chinese.
The hotel was short of staff IMO. I could see them running around in the hotel.
The ski equipment room could be equipped with better facility to dry ski boots and gloves.
Shuttle bus was only offered to Niseko but not Kutchan station which was in fact not too far away anyway.
The room was clean and well maintained. The location of the hotel was great too. It's 10mins from the Niseko station and 5mins from annupuri ski run.
Located in Kutchan, MUWA NISEKO is in the mountains, a 1-minute drive from Niseko Mountain Resort Grand Hirafu and 7 minutes from Shikotsu-Toya National Park. This ski hotel is 4.8 mi (7.8 km) from Kutchancho Asahigaoka Ski Area and 4.8 mi (7.8 km) from Niseko Hanazono Resort.
Relax and unwind with massages and body treatments. You're sure to appreciate the convenience of ski-in/ski-out access at this hotel, which also features hot springs and a steam room. This hotel also features complimentary wireless internet access, concierge services, and ski storage. Guests can get to nearby shops on the shuttle (surcharge).
Satisfy your appetite at HITO by TACUBO, one of the hotel's 2 restaurants. A complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

There are a lot of negative reviews online. I was a little worried before checking in. Let’s talk about the real check-in experience.
We booked the most basic double room, which is designed to be very warm and comfortable. Although it is not big, it is fully equipped with a refrigerator, washing machine, dishwasher, induction cooker, range hood, and even pots and pans, which is very convenient. The hotel was newly opened in December, so I was worried about the smell, but the hotel thoughtfully prepared an air purifier, and there was basically no smell.
The room has a small balcony, directly facing the ski lift, and you can even see Mount Yotei on a clear day.
There is also a public hot spring bath on the L floor of the hotel. It is very comfortable to take a dip after skiing during the day. The toiletries are also Aesop and Dyson hair dryers. There is also a paid private hot spring facing Mt. Yotei. The weather was not good for a few days, so I didn’t experience it. I saw the photos online and they are very impressive.
Breakfast: Semi-buffet style, choose a main dish + buffet. There are not many dishes and they are not updated every day. It is slightly inferior.
In terms of service, the hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off services from nearby stations for check-in and check-out. You need to send an email to the hotel in advance to make a reservation. Free pick-up and drop-off is also provided within the town of Hirafu during your stay. Basically, it is Alpha pick-up, which is a plus.
ski:
It is right next to the ski resort, and it is very convenient to slide in and out. There is a ski equipment hall on the first floor, and each room is equipped with a ski storage cabinet. There is also a ski equipment rental service and a ski school.
When you stay at Skye Niseko in Kutchan, you'll be near ski lifts, just steps from Niseko Mountain Resort Grand Hirafu and 9 minutes by foot from Niseko-Shakotan-Otarukaigan Quasi-National Park. This luxury hotel is 19.3 mi (31.1 km) from Rusutsu Resort and 7.9 mi (12.8 km) from Niseko Annupuri International Ski Area.
Relax at the full-service spa, where you can enjoy massages. You're sure to appreciate the convenience of ski-in/ski-out access at this hotel, which also features hot springs and a sauna. This hotel also features complimentary wireless internet access, concierge services, and ski valet. The complimentary ski shuttle makes getting to the slopes a breeze.
Stop by the hotel's restaurant, Kumo, for lunch or dinner, or grab snacks at the coffee shop/cafe. Wrap up your day with a drink at the bar/lounge. A complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM (Last Entry at 09:30 AM).
Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, laundry facilities, and an elevator. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for an additional charge.

The hotel is located in Niseko, just opposite the cable car and the entrance of the Hilove Snow Factory. Just cross the road! It's so convenient. You can ski in and out and pick up the rented ski equipment directly at the hotel! The ski equipment is also good, you can book it directly online according to your needs!
As for the room, I booked a twin room in advance. The hotel sent an email to ask if I needed to upgrade to a view room. I decisively upgraded it and added a little fee. There are Chinese service staff at the front desk of the hotel, and guests can make reservations for private soup every day, which is really the best way to heal after skiing! The breakfast at the hotel is very rich every day. It's mainly convenient. You don't need to go out to find a restaurant. I also had a dinner at the hotel. The cost performance is not very high, but it's still convenient.
I still want to book this hotel next time. The warm color and convenient location are right outside the parking lot of the Hilove station, and it's also very worry-free to take the bus to the airport.

GGuest UserI would like to share a few words with you about our feeling of coming back to your Park Hyatt Hanazono hotel from 29/3/2024 to 3/4/2024. We are beginners of skiing, therefore, our first choice is a ski-in and ski-out hotel. Therefore, last year we came to your hotel and we came back again for further improvement of our skiing. We travelled a long way from the airport to your hotel for almost over 3 hours. However, we didn't receive a warm welcome from your hotel by the time we got out of our car. By the time we checked-in, the handling time took much longer than I expected, maybe we all felt tired after long travelling and wanted to go up to our room. Another guest who was sitting next to me seemed to complain about your service to another staff..
When we arrived at our room, only 3 mandarins were put on the table to welcome us but they did not look very attractive.
Next morning, the breakfast was as good as last year, because nothing more had changed. But again, not very welcoming. Our dishes were piling up on the table long before they were taken away. That was not the case last year.
We asked guest service to fold up the sofa bed as we wanted it to be more spacious. However, I called several to get it done when we came back from skiing in the evening. But we clearly said we could do it when we were out in the daytime.
We booked 2 adults and 1 child, however, we could only find 3 adult clothes for onsen. We called guest service to provide us with child cloth for onsen. However, after tidying up, they provided us with another 3 sets of clothes for onsen again. So, my daughter wore oversized clothes to the onsen. It was not like this when we first came here last year.
Luckily, on the third day, we met a new and young manager during breakfast, we received a warm welcoming smile for the first time. We chatted for a while and my daughter felt happy with him. Last year, my daughter made some friends here with your staff and learnt some Japanese from your staff. That made her like the Japanese culture and language.
Ironically, after folding up the sofa bed, they mistakenly mixed up my daughter white colored soft toy - cinnamoroll - with the bed sheets for the laundry. Luckily, maybe with the help of the young guy, we found it back. My daughter was so delighted, thanks for all your efforts, but however, the soft toy had been shrunk by the laundry machine.
The inner tubing was one of our favors in Park Hyatt Hotel, however, it looked obscenity and did not match with the natural scenery and the well-designed architecture surroundings at all. It looked like a facility in a developing country.
Next Easter holiday was a late holiday, maybe no more snow for skiing. Originally we had planned to come again with whole families of six for skiing. Maybe it is high time for us to look for another ski-in ski-out hotel, though I have promised the young guy to meet him next year.
AangelaxuuThe room is very new and very good, with a living room and a washing machine, suitable for family trips, and the view outside the window is also very good! Breakfast is a bit far from Rusutsu Resort, and it is not very delicious. The cafe downstairs in the hotel has few varieties, sandwiches, cookies, and coffee. The 7-11 convenience store is a bit far away from the resort across the road. It is quite convenient for us to have a car, but it is not so convenient if we go too late. There is nothing around, so we can only play in the resort. There is nothing delicious. We drove to Niseko for dinner, which takes about 50 minutes. If you have a car, you can also go to the big supermarket in Kutchan Prefecture, which takes more than 10 minutes to drive from Niseko. Eating is much cheaper. But this hotel is worth coming. You can sit in the living room and enjoy the snow scenery for a whole day.
MManyHatsStaff were very pleasant and accommodating. Gave good suggestions and recommendations. The rooms were very cozy and cleanliness was superb. Very convenient location and provided free shuttle service as well as transport on request to Kutchan JR train station. Convenience stores were nearby as well as a few restaurants, apart from the in-house restaurant which provided decent breakfast & simple dishes from menu provided. Altogether an excellent stay and will repeat stay there when going to Niseko again.
GGuest UserLovely big room with a sitting area as well. Bathroom was huge with separate toilet area. Bathrobes n slippers were provided. We can actually see the lake and the fireworks from the room. No food provided but there’s a vending machine.
There’s a beautiful restaurant to have breakfast at the junction of the road leading up to the hotel with a beautiful garden and grounds.
It’s about 20 min downhill to the town but it’s worth the drive. There’s a Seicomart in town as well with ample free parking.
GGuest UserThe room was standard Hilton. Ski in ski out, and have very convenient shuttle services to connect with other resorts. Staffs are very nice and professional, a well balanced global team make passengers from different places feel like home.
One the other light worth to mention was the TEA ceremony holds by a tea master from Kyoto. Since Hokkaido was famous because it’s dairy products, i didn’t expect run into such a thing here. The tea master really puts a lot of thought into how to make the guests feel the authentic Japanese tea culture. The process wasn’t too complicated for foreigners to follow, and it will amazingly put you in a zen peace mode, like a sort of meditation. Worth to stop by if you stay there.
CChee KwanHotel is old but rooms are huge and functional. Reception is a little cold. Parking is free and comes with onsen. It is located beside lake Toya and we had a chance to see the fireworks at night.
AAnonymous UserThe room is huge and comes with a kitchen and living area. They have all the utensils and equipments if you want to cook. Came here during autumn so can't comment on the convenience of travelling to the skiing spot. The parking garage is under the building so it was convenient.
LLeong FamilyThe staff are not knowledgeable on 3rd party ski hire or ski school. We returned the equipment 1 day earlier and the staff said ok and asked if we are fine with 50% refund. We said yes. The next day they said they never said this.....no English, and don't ask questions, they will not be able to answer. They are well mannered and kind, just no direction and very messy.
Bus schedule is also confusing, staff are not clear and busses don't often come without calling and reminding. They say it is due to weather condition, but it wasn't.
You need to book set menu dinners at their one and only restaurant, 3 days in advance. We missed the Christmas set dinner, and even though on the phone to reserve the table, we asked for set menu, they didn't decline and they didn't say we needed 3 day advance notice. So we went and ordered small alacarte meals. Small dishes but were absolutely delicious.
Hot Spring facility is excellent. Rooms are clean and the layout is fantastic. They have a washing machine that dries as well. Bring your own laundry detergent
But I must give 100% credit to them as we left our bag at the lobby and they arranged to send it to Tokyo for us and called the receiving hotel as well,.
Bbunny1227The restaurant on the fifth floor overlooks the outdoor mixed bathing hot spring pool, and the breakfast is of high quality. The room is clean and comfortable with a large heater. There are ample parking spaces in the two parking lots. There is also a hot spring outlet next to the second parking lot opposite. Many locals come to collect water and take it back for drinking. Yukata for mixed bathing can be picked up at the front desk at any time, and swimsuits are not allowed to enter. There is a small supermarket, capsule toy machine, and coin lockers in the lobby.
AAnonymous UserTake a bus from the Donan bus stop at the right entrance of Toya JR Station for 15-20 minutes, get off at Toyako Onsen Station, and walk for 2-3 minutes to the hotel.
The facilities are relatively old, but the open-air hot spring on the first floor is pretty good (there are also indoor ones).
Remember to bring a bath towel from the room when you take a hot spring bath.
There is no mineral water, so you can drink directly from the tap in the room. There is a kettle and a refrigerator.
Most of the small restaurants on the street open at 11am and close at 7pm. Therefore, most restaurants are run by elderly people who prepare food and slowly serve tourists. Breakfast at the hotel is from 7:30am to 9am, and many hotels in Japan check out at 10am. The hot spring tax is 150 yen per person. If you want to go shopping after checking out of the hotel and leave in the afternoon, the hotel can store your belongings for free until 12am on the same day, and 500 yen per item will be charged for more than one minute. It is better to store your belongings at the nearby Toyako Onsen Station, which costs 300 yen until 9pm (you can put down a large box or two small boxes). If your box is full, you can also ask the staff at the bus station information office to pay for storage, and they also have umbrellas to lend to tourists for free. More warm than hotel service
