The Derwentwater Hotel

Its a nice hotel a littld tired and no coffee machine or filter coffee at breakfast. Yes instant coffee

What a lovely hotel, most staff were friendly & accommodating...however, there wasn't a fan in the room and it only had hopper windows, im still waiting on the one I asked for, was told by other guests they had a fan in the room. I also paid extra (most were vouchers for our Christmas) but I put another £30 for room with lake view....?...but you can't see it for the scaffolding...I said at reception and was told she would speak to boss as she couldn't issue a refund but someone would email me later....im still waiting! I did hold off from this review, but again I'm disappointed as no one has gotten in touch ! We had a room with a dog, the worst place to put dogs is right above the car park, every car door that slammed shut just set her off...if we had been informed there was work going on I could have changed my dates....but we weren't. Shower instructions don't match the shower, but when we eventually got hot water (after 35mins) it was just a trickle...though we were better off than some other guests...the second floor had no water at all on the Sunday morning! Gardens were lovely, and bar prices were not too bad !

Lovely over worked staff , no where near enough to run a hotel of that size , careless gardeners, the bar shut at 9 930 , never attended during the day , needs a lot of up grading , very very disappointed , we were a family party of six ,

Very poor , as described lake view , was less Tahoe 2% , deco very very dated, no 240v sockets at side of bed 9i Ly 3 pin round plugs? Lack of ever small essentials offed by a premier Inn. Style accommodation Over priced and not value for money I would look at other accommodation

Gardens stunning next to the lake, unfortunately the ONLY positive, Booked via *******, room looked beautiful and modern on image. Called Reception to check the room we were looking at was the room we would get, told YES definitely. Checked in late Monday evening after a family funeral to find room was NOT what we thought we were getting. Dirty walls, dust everywhere, no headboards, no fire evacuation sign in the room, stained duvet cover, chair arms worn away. Dirt in the bath, windows and frames dirty. Very loud extractor fan outside the window, double bed needs replacing lying on springs. Spoke with Reception (1person) showed no compassion, very dismissive when explaining the above. Bar service was good. Checkout with Lauren was wonderful.

Beautiful all of it staffvare the best left this morning had 4 great days food is fabulous 👌 scenery magic it's a must manager's are fabulous i hope the lights get mended in garden
