We came up for a night as a weekend break from. Upon arrival, for which we were early, there were no staff at the desk. Upon pressing the buzzer for staff attention, a gentleman eventually came to see us. We were informed that the room wasn't ready and recommended that we return after a few hours. I understand we could have booked early arrival, but due to the weather conditions (storm bert), it would have been appreciated if we could have gone to a room to have a warm shower and dry off. The hotel was only around half occupancy so I'm sure something could have been arranged. The room that we had was comfortable and spacious but did nowhere near jusity the addional £40.00 fee for premier plus. The difference between a standard room and a plus room was that the plus room had a coffee machine and a mini fridge where the standard rooms do not. Certainly not worth £40.00. Breakfast was ok. The dining room for breakfast was pretty much empty, which was fine. However, a lot of the hot food was not served hot. My boyfriend had mushrooms and tomatoes that were both cold, and I had scrambled eggs and beans, which were also cold. The carpark was an absolute nightmare. £7.00 for 24hrs is justifiable, IF you can actually park in the carpark. There's maybe 25 car park spaces at a push and if you are lucky enough to get one, I would recommend not moving the car until you need to check out because there will not be a space when you return. Not ideal if you're exploring the area or spending days hiking locally. There is so much potential for this hotel but there is also so much room for improvement.

Very friendly receptionist who even delivered additional coffee capsules to our room. There is a reasonably large car park immediately adjacent. Hotel guests get a code that gives a discount for parking. TOP TIP Pay attention to the directions to the hotel car park and reception entrance. The main entrance is at the 'back' of the hotel, not on the promenade side.

On arrival there was a very warm welcome from the receptionists. The hotel is a mix of old and new sections. Oddly the Premier Plus rooms do not have sea views so you have to choose between the view and the room amenities – both of which come at a supplementary cost to the standard rooms. I opted for a Premier Plus room – it was the first time I have stayed at a property offering this option and I was pleasantly surprised. The coffee machine and chocolates are nice additional touches as is the armchair (most Premier Inn rooms have a settee which can convert to an extra bed). There was plenty of space to work and the WiFi was good. The bed and duvet were very comfortable and cosy although the pillows were a little hard for my liking; I wonder if a choice of pillows could be offered? The room offered a bath tub with overhead rain shower; I find it a pity that so many hotels have removed bath tubs so this is most definitely a “plus” when staying here. The restaurant is in the basement which makes it feel cold and I think a little more thought about the interior design could offer a warmer and more welcoming environment. Nevertheless the staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was tasty and well priced. Although breakfast was not particularly busy, they kept running out of hot items and cooking/replenishment timings need to be looked at. I would be happy to stay here again if in the area. The hotel is 5-10 minutes flat walk from the railway station and close to town centre amenities

We arrived yesterday the room was spotless, we had a espresso machine as we paid more for the room, tea and coffee available, we also had a hair dryer, ironing board and iron, the beds are the most comfortable in any places we have stayed, the pillows are so soft, Suzanne greeted us in the restaurant for breakfast showing us where everything was, the breakfast was amazing, highly recommend the Premier Inn in any area to stay in.

Reasonable hotel on Aberystwyth sea front. Rooms were clean and come with a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Some rooms have a sea view - but that's just luck of the draw. At busy times the car park can be full - there is a nearby public car park which is slightly cheaper and offers electric car charging. The restaurant is small so if you're having breakfast it's best to book your table the night before. The room we had at the rear of the hotel was really warm and we were unable to get the air conditioning to make it any cooler.

Premier inn accommodation was their standard but the staff were first class. Do not expect a sea view, my room over looked the car park and adjacent derelict building. No access to the promenade but the Thyme restaurant let te place. Down. Very clean and tidy, staff first class, but the list of what was not available was nearly longer than what was. Very disappointing. There is no fryer on site so fish and chips were cooked in the oven with a 20+ minute wait. No sticky toffee pudding available and a simple cold dessert took a very long time to arrive. I would not bother again as I would have been better of at a McDonalds.
