Trefeddian Hotel

Beautiful location, unpretentious and clean. Food was fun and traditional and a major part of the total experience. Almost all staff were exceptionally great except one ridiculous foreign waiter who let down the rest of the experience badly with a loud fake joviality, a sarcastic manner, bad body odour, and who repeatedly got the order wrong, . .

Just spent another short break at the Trefeddian. We chose a sea view room with a balcony. The room was well appointed with lots of storage, a choice of pillows and walk - in shower. As usual the highlights included the swimming pool, the spa bath, the art collection and the consistently delicious food. There was a tasteful hint of the festive season with decorated trees, poinsettias and mince pies available. The helpful staff, large car park, the immaculate swimming pool facilities and proximity to beach and country walks makes this hotel my first choice.

As “first timers” we were made very welcome, indeed, in this elegant and welcoming hotel which manages to fuse modern, comfortable amenities with what, sadly, has become all too rare - old fashioned charm and customer service. We enjoyed a comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean room and the very best levels of customer service and courtesy that one could wish for. Food choices at breakfast and dinner were plentiful (as, indeed, were the portions), using quality ingredients and served attractively. To emphasise, staff throughout the operation, were unfailingly welcoming, attentive, friendly and helpful. Perhaps other visitors’ /reviewers’ more negative comments/experiences reflect their own lack of courtesy and appreciation? The stunningly beautiful location speaks for itself. Stayed 1 night in Nov 24 Good - free car park, easy check in, warm room, clean room, clean bathroom, good hot food breakfast menu, good hotel facilities including games room, spectacular views Bad - nothing of note, although breakfast is on a rather strange rigid seating plan and the cold breakfast options are not as varied as other similar hotels, tv in room was small.

The most amazing setting with the best staff I’ve ever encountered, food excellent and although the place is getting a little dated that’s not important given how excellent everything else is. Sad to leave in so many ways. Breaking down in car park meant we got to experience the pool area before leaving and so glad we did, another amazing experience with it being so clean and comfortable, finished off a wonderful couple of days.

Solo work trip away in September. Staff very attentive, great food & location is superb overlooking the bay and Golf course. Managed to take this wonderful photo of a rainbow behind the hotel on a windy, rainy, Autumnal day! Certainly, will return with family!
