If you enjoy historic buildings, you will thoroughly enjoy staying at this hotel. Built in 1903. This little hotel has a lot of charm. It is right in the center of downtown Abbeville. We only got to stay one night as we were passing through, but we will definitely be back for a longer stay. Each of the rooms are completely different and unlike what the other reviewer commented we had plenty of air-conditioning. Our room was 64° when we got there. The Innkeeper was delightful and graciously allowed us to arrive at 11:30 PM and was waiting for us. All of the decor are antiques!

We stayed at the Belmont Inn over Thanksgiving. The room was very cold and the temperature was only 64 degrees. When we called to ask that the temperature be fixed, they only left a blanket on the bed. I have called customer service with no resolution. I asked to be reimbursed and the Belmont Inn refused to refund, if you stay at the Belmont Inn you are best to pack a heater.

I stayed there to keep from having to travel along distance after playing the organ at two churches in the area for services. It was everything I needed. The customer service could not have been any better. They were very nice and met all of my needs. I plan to stay there again for longer so that I can enjoy some of the other amenities that they have.

Historic hotel
Cute historic hotel but in need of a lot of renovations. Staff was pleasant. Our room was clean but the bathroom was riddled with mold, cracked linoleum and sink.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at the Belmont. My husband and I were visiting Abbeville for a funeral on Saturday, Nov 23. The Belmont was a recommendation of my girlfriend. I didn’t get to the room until 11:30 that night. I went to take a shower and discovered a disgusting shower with mold & mildew. I couldn’t even take a proper
shower because the tub was clogged, and my feet were covered with water. I was too tired to complain. When I checked out, there was no one at the front desk to complain to. Just a box to put the key in. Room #23 This hotel is in need of improvements and repairs. I do not recommend and will never stay again.
