Aalborg Hotel Apartments

Traveled from Texas to Aalborg to visit family. This apartment hotel was perfect for our stay. It was very clean and spacious. We rented a 2 bedroom for the extra space. Our unit had everything we needed in the kitchen, a nice size bathroom with a combo washer and dryer. Note to Americans, the washer/dryer is small and takes a long time to dry clothes, but it was nice to be able to do laundry during our stay. Also, you will need adapters for the plugs. The unit did have a hair dryer. As is typical in Europe, there is no AC in the unit. I travel with a small table side fan and it was perfect for the night time. Temperatures were cool while we were there, so we opened all the doors and windows and enjoyed the fresh air and hearing the birds. Location of the hotel: it is near the university and outside of the city center by about 10 minutes. Within walking distance is a Netto supermarket [we picked up items for breakfast and snacks], a store called Normal that sells various personal care products, a pizza place, and a sandwich place. We did takeout from both the pizza place and sandwich shop and both were good. We had a rental car and drove into town. We parked at Budolfi Plads parking garage most of the time. It was within walking distance of all things in town. We unknowingly rented an electric car. Thankfully, the hotel had charging stations in the parking lot so we were able to charge the car as needed. There is also a bus stop located steps away from the hotel. We did not use it, but I think a bus stops there about every 15 minutes or so. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in a ground floor studio apartment here at the Tornhojveg 10 building for a couple of nights and it was perfect for our needs. There were one or two issues we experienced but they were resolved quickly and efficiently by staff with no inconvenience to us. There are two supermarkets a 5 minute walk down the road, perfect for self catering but there are also restaurants and takeaways if you don’t feel like cooking. We used the car to get into town but there is a bus that runs right past the front door. The studio was clean, well equipped with good cutlery, crockery and glassware and well presented with good quality fixtures, fittings, bed and bedding. The area around the apartments is nicely landscaped and in general was very quiet and it was a lovely place to be. Our only unresolved issue was the annoying neighbour shouting into his phone until 3 am on the patio which kept us awake. If we were in this area we would definitely stay here again (with a different neighbour). Highly recommended.

We were 3 colleagues who lived in the apartment with two bedrooms and walked to the UCN campus at Selma Lageröfs vej every morning. Lovely walk, by the way. There was also a bus but the weather was so nice so we walked. The apartment was clean and the kitchen had everything you needed. Bathroom was spacious and had a washing machine. The place was so quiet. You only heard the blackbird singing. Foodstores close by and small casual restaurants also close. I will never stay downtown in Aalborg again after this! I will come back herre.
