soft bed on soft base - I will need 10 hours of physio to fix the damage. hotter than hell and can't open the window because the room is so small the curtains prevent you from opening it bathroom so small and shower even smaller that you need to lather up before you get in the shower. no food or drink service. no breakfast. nothing. no coffee.. absolutely nothing. bottle of water in the room but so hot because of the room temperature that it's undrinkable. but not quite hot enough to make tea no kettle in the room no bar fridge micro-stool at desk - impossible to work. room not serviced. bed unmade. checked in at 2pm but room not ready. needed to pull mattress onto the floor to attempt sleep. if you're considering coming to Germany to stay in this travesty then rather keep your money and go on holiday nearer to home. an absolute disaster of a place. also lift doesn't work at the best of times. stay away... you'd get more pleasure from taking the cash you'd spend and burning it to stay warm while you slept on the street.

Cheap but OK Contrary to previous reviews, the hotel is OK, especially for the price. The room is small and the bathroom is compact as well, yes, but they are definately enough. The rooms are facing a busy street, yes, but nothing disturbed our sleep. The room was clean, the water was hot. The good thing is the location -- very close to two museums, very close to the Thermen, many cheap eats in the vicinity. There are some problems though. First of all, advertised reception open times are a total lie -- the reception was never open in the morning, and they close not at 22:00 as advertise. There is a self-check-in available, but you cannot count on a possibility of leaving your bags before or after your stay. Second of all, the "non smoking room" stank of cigarettes. Thirdly -- mattress is indeed very, very soft. It's OK for a few nights though!
