"The room is as good as ever. It has been almost 10 years. Every time I come to Melbourne, I stay in this hotel. The room type is reasonable. The kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom are all independent, and there is a washing machine. I really feel at home!"

"Pros: Good location from Skybus, Good self-laundry service and free breakfast (but limited and basic options)
Cons:
- Curtain was not working but we didn't report it cuz we checked in and midnight and will be checking out early the next day
- Located next to a club so you would still hear thumping sound even though we were on the 19th floor. So if you're a light sleeper, better request for higher floors.
- You have to call the reception at the entrance for late check-in as the doors were locked. We didn't notice the instructions to call and thought we were at the side entrance. So we walked around the block until we realized that there was only one entrance.
- Poor bathroom door design that doesn't fully prevent water from wetting the dry areas"

"Good location, just across a small garden (flagstaff garden). a walk away to town area and tram stop within the free tram zone. 15 minutes walk from southern cross where the skybus from airport stops. Accessible."

"Great hostel, lots of activities and social group outings. Located very close to the Markets and Melbourne CBD with the free Tram zone so easy to get around with plenty to do.
I had a larger room but my friends had really small rooms that would be the only negative.
Great roof top space for evening views and socialising with hot tub.
The best hostel kitchen I've stayed in and have travelled the east coast and Western Australia. So many stations, great number of quality equipment and lots of space for food although fridges are always full np matter where you go.
Really happy with this stay."

"The hotel had some positive aspects, such as a swimming pool and a central location, which made it convenient for exploring the area.
However, we had a frustrating experience with the cleaning service. Despite prior arrangements, the agreed-upon cleaning was only carried out late in the evening after a very lengthy discussion with the staff. This was quite annoying and negatively impacted our stay.
While the amenities and location were good, the service needs significant improvement."

"To be allocated on ground floor is something you do not expect when you make reservation as such a high standard hotel. Even worse not to find a bottle of free mineral water."

"The room is old, and the shower station is a bathtub.
The overall feeling is like an old hotel in China, but it is clean and tidy. The water table is also clean, as is the toilet.
It is quite comfortable to sit in the small living room, and there is a botanical garden at the door, and the air is great."

"1. The details of the room are very stylish. 2. There is a large bed and a sofa bed, as well as a Rubik's Cube for children to play with. This detail is worthy of praise. Suitable for families and parent-child travel. 3. There is a washing machine and complete tableware, but there is no stove. It is no problem to heat bread and milk in the microwave. 4. Big advantage: You can check out at 11 o'clock, and you can also apply for a later check-out under special circumstances! Other hotels have check-out at 10 o'clock! 5. The buffet is also good (Western style bread and snacks). 6. The location is good, very close to Chinatown, and the nearby attractions in the city center are within walking distance. The aquarium, train station, Federation Square, museums... are all nearby! Two words, convenient!
Disadvantages: 1. Self-service check-in. Due to the delay of the flight, it was already past 11pm when I arrived at the hotel. The front and back doors of the hotel were closed. I called and said that an email had sent me the password, but the agency that booked the room did not forward it to me. , it took half an hour before a staff member came downstairs to help me get the key. 2. The water in the sink is not flowing smoothly, and the water is blocked even when I brush my teeth and wash my face. It is probably an old problem that cannot be solved. I was too lazy to bother with it in the middle of the night, so I just used the sink in the hall."

GGuest UserThis is a very nice resort. The interior is very clean and large. Bed is comfortable and toilet is good with jacuzzi. You will see kangaroos and cockatoos outside the cottage in the morning and evening. My kids enjoy the stay very much. However you need to either cook your own meals or drive out to eat. The drive is about 15 mins.
CCommen TingVery nice location, I felt like it was very good pricing. They do make up the room every other day, so just need to be prepared for that. Pretty good amenities.
The lack of an established pick up/drop off point will be a little awkward. But otherwise I like the place.
GGuest UserThe Novotel Melbourne Airport is very conveniently located near Terminal 4 of the airport. It was a short walk to catch our international flight. All is well with the hotel's room, where it was clean and was well provided for. However, they need to look into their self check-in kiosks which none worked no matter which one I tried. As a result, the check-in queue was long as we had to wait for 2 agents to check ALL of us in.

AAlphard Reyesalright not really all about this reviewer life but considering i spend 10 days i figured id give my experience so yall can decide better. will be sorting my scores thru ff criterias bellow:
1. LOCATION⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: it literally at the edge of the “free tram zone” that Melbourne CBD has. it is one free tram ride away to your postcard landmark, Flinders Station. 5 min walk to Southern Cross for all your out-of-Melbourne trips, including the airport skybusses. Theres a pub in the first floor for food and drinks, a 7/11 round the corner, and a liquor store, pizza, vietnamese restaurant, and a kebab all withinh walking distance. Its practically perfect for its price location-wise.
2. BLDG and AMENITIES: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You can tell the bldg is old. Walls were obviously too thin than regular bldgs since I visitied MEL during the winter seasom and was heavily dependent on the heater, which works splendidly! They have a guest laundry room, where for 5AUD, you can get a big load of laundry done. the only downside is it’s literally located in a sort of maze around the back of the building, so if youre like me and you forget ur laundry bag, youre gonna have to parade around like a fashion model dressed by french-japanese model from comme de garscons. I also had an issue with the key access during after-hours entry, both of which, by the grace of the land gods, was solved by another visitor coming in late. Brought up this issue with the Staff and they were more than happy to fix the card! apparently my room specifically, 219, has issues in their system or whatever. which brings me to my next criterion. The hotel shares a common hallway to a Thai massage parlor (which gets you a free discount coupon) and a bar/pub/diner thats open from early breakfast til late in the night. no bellhop though so youll have to carry your luggage all by your lonesome!
2.5 ROOM ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: As said before the room was pretty cold if you dont turn on the heater. But it was extremely clean! the bathroom was neat and hot water available 24/7 (some
airbnbs could never), and there’s single room necessities like a water boiler, a tiny fridge, and a big and powerful hair dryer. all of which work perfectly. they stop by every morning to ask if you want your towels replaced (if your privacy sign is up) and clean the room per request.
3. STAFF: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️amazing and super nice! and cheerful! i already interacted with them since i accidentally canceled my reservation due to misunderstandings and had spent some change calling from overseas. they were easy to talk to and very understanding. That wouldve been 600usd wasted! They answered all my questions about the city, tips, and guides and all other inquiries.
overall: my stay was amazing and definitely felt safe leaving my personal belongings while i went about traipsing around melbourne and surrounding land and shore marks. def recommend for a solo traveler traveling light!

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at Ibis Styles Kingsgate in Melbourne for a few nights, and my experience was a mix of positives and disappointments. The hotel is in a great location in the CBD, just a short walk from Southern Cross Station, which made getting there from the airport easy via SkyBus. Trams are also nearby, so getting around the city was no hassle.
The single room I booked was compact but functional. The decor was simple, and the bed was comfortable enough for a budget stay. However, I had some issues with the cleanliness and condition of the furnishings. The room felt a little outdated, and the bed linen had visible wear and tear. Housekeeping was not up to standard, and I even encountered damaged bedding with exposed stuffing, which was quite off-putting. While the staff were friendly when approached, the overall maintenance of the hotel definitely needs improvement.
One of the nicer aspects of the hotel was the common areas. The lounge had a cozy atmosphere, with bookshelves and warm lighting that gave off a heritage-style charm, which was a contrast to the actual room experience. The facilities were basic, but for a budget stay, they were acceptable.
The price was reasonable for a centrally located hotel, but considering the issues with cleanliness and room upkeep, I expected better. It’s an okay option if you’re after an affordable place to stay in the city, but be prepared for some compromises. If they improved their maintenance and housekeeping, it would be a much better value-for-money choice.

AAnonymous UserThis hotel has the worst service of any Hyatt I have ever stayed at. The overall staff was absent-minded, and no one ever answered the front desk phone or room service. Several times we had to run downstairs to communicate with the front desk. There are no bathrobes in the hotel, which is the first time I have encountered this.

GGuest UserNot recommended for those who value their personal data security and privacy.
Not recommended for internati9nal travellers who may not have enough charge on their phones to complete 3 forms, then download and set up an app that requires constant internet and Bluetooth connections.
Booking required multiple insecure methods of sharing credit card details and identification documents along with 2 forms to fill out with personal details and an app to download in order to gain access to the Building entrance, Elevator, and Apartment.
None of this information was given to me prior to booking. I would not have stayed here if I had known the extent of insecure transmission of personal information and amount of admin and work required just to check in and stay one night. I work in this space and know the risks. Management is putting guests personal data at risks with the excessive documentation requests.
FYI, requiring someone to send credit card PICTURES and ID pictures over email is completely insecure. This is bizarrely at odds with the excessive security to get into the building.
The constant need to carry your phone everywhere or you'd be locked of the apartment or even the whole building was extremely stressful.
In terms of the actual room, once I got in, the bed, kitchen, lounge and floors were clean but the toilet had not been cleaned in a long time. This was not nice. You could see parts under the rim had not been cleaned in years. Toilet had also been recently used and not flushed properly upon arrival. I did not take photos of any of this, it was too gross.
I ended up buying paper cups as the glasses/cups as those supplied were not clean, tried to take a picture but it's hard to see. They were covered in fingerprints and fibres of some kind.
The view was nice and loungeroom was great, study nook was extremely handy for remote work. Balcony tiles are moving and could be a tripping hazard. Laundry was well equipped but did not have time to use it.
KkevinNice room, nice location, nice service. We arrived at ten o'clock and were given a room directly. The room was very clean, with two single beds. We were 4 people, 2 big and 2 small.

GGuest UserLocation: Can be tricky to find the first time as you need to turn onto Cyril Street. Look across the road for the white building with red writing.
Check-in: easy and fast. The man on reception is friendly and organised, just a lovely receptionist. There is a bond of $200; be organised and you’ll save your time and the receptionist’s time. You can pay the bond in cash.
Parking: great, BUT there are some permanents living there and so you might want to park away from them… you will see immediately where you should not park :) clean parking area. Seemed organised.
Room: very clean, comfortable. There are no knives, forks or plates, but there is a kettle and a microwave. Teas coffees, etc. six milk pods, so maybe bring milk if you need more. Really make sure that you close the door properly or it will seem shut, but not actually be shut and will open :) Good curtains in the room that block out the light from outside. I noticed a fair amount of security cameras outside on the walkway, which was reassuring. Fantastic showers with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The bed is firm, but I liked it.
Would or wouldn’t stay again? Unfortunately, no, not while they are acting as ‘crisis accommodation’. The staff and room were great, but there are some undesirables living there who kept us awake all night. Not exaggerating when I say, did not sleep AT ALL. We were up and down to check on the car - the permanents were screaming, fighting - some real Jerry Springer stuff. I was upstairs and the people next to me had a dog that barked all night, in addition to the couple screaming at each other :/ Downstairs, fighting, screaming constantly. it sounded like something got broken downstairs. A guy on a motorbike kept coming and going, visiting the permanents downstairs and talking super loudly, then more yelling and fighting after he tore off on his bike. I didn’t feel safe; I expected the car to get damaged. I realise those people’s behaviour is not the motel’s fault, but I was so tired the next day that I got a migraine and yeah, still fending it off now, day after. Not impressed with those feral permanents. It’s a shame because the staff and rooms are great
GGuest UserThe live situation of the accommodation is reasonable in Melbourne for such a price. The service at the front desk of the hotel is very good. The towel will be thoughtfully windy.
