While this hotel is well-located (right in front of the beach in a very nice neighborhood) and our room was large, that’s where the positive points end. We checked in on a Sunday and went up to our room. I turned on the TV and it didn’t work, so I picked up the phone and tried to call the front desk, but the phone didn’t work. I could hear her, but she couldn't hear me. So, I went down to the front desk and told her about the 2 items that were not working. Maintenance came up and replaced the phone; then he said he’d have to replace the television too. Since we were only going to be here for one night, I didn’t want to waste my time waiting for the maintenance man to dismount the broken TV and install a new one, so we stayed with a broken TV. I don’t know why they didn’t offer to change our room, but they didn’t. Wi-fi did not work in the rooms. I saw many guests sitting in the hallway just to access the signal. My wife wanted to have a coffee before we went out to dinner, so we asked the receptionist if we could get a coffee from room service. She told us that the hotel’s kitchen was not open on Sunday, which I thought was absurd. Maybe they should tell people that before they take a booking for a Sunday. We came back from dinner at about 11 PM and there was nobody at the front desk. I was very concerned by this obvious lack of security and how this put its guests at potential risk. We went up to the rooftop seating area before retiring and while there, a hotel employee popped up and said that he had to shut off the lights because it was 11:30. I asked if he could come back in a bit, but he said that he couldn’t and turned off the lights! But not just the lights in the rooftop seating area, but also the lights in the hallway leading to the elevator. When we headed down, I had to use the flashlight on my phone just to see where we were walking. Breakfast, which is included, was ok, but still does not make up for the other shortcomings of our stay here.

The hotel is very bad. I hosted from 15/11 to 25/11 in Deluxe category. I booked directly with the hotel. The room was good, but the dress was very bad, I stayed all this time and in no day the bed clothes were exchanged, horrible and bad sweat, bed is not couple, two singles together. Wi-Fi: forget it doesn't work. Swimming pool: small space, cold water pool, sliding floor, vulnerable anyone can have access. Morning coffee area: extremely hot, without any exaustion, omelets, fries eggs and tapioca are made within that coffee area, you get out of the environment with the smell of fries from your head to your feet finger. Breakfast: old-fashioned bread, no cake option, every day always at the same options. Hotel needs general reform. Finally, the value they charge.

Apart from the main tourist points of João Pessoa, it is located in the city centre in a quite desert place during the night, making it very difficult for those who are not traveling by car. The hotel is well structured, but the lack of cleaning and hygiene in the rooms, corridors and other areas of the hotel has made a very bad experience of a simple night, without counting on the many mosquitoes in the dining room. For a less demanding guest with cleaning, you can even compensate the daily value. However, in my opinion, it is more worth paying a little more day in a hotel/houser near the beach and the main attractions of João Pessoa, with a more moved environment near lanchones, bars, restaurants, a pharmacy and clean in their dependences.
