GGuest UserMy husband and me, we traveled to ZA for the first time. Our first stop was at The Ashford guesthouse. That was actually a perfect choice! :-) I really loved their fittings and furnishings on the whole property. Everything was so lovely! We stayed there for 4 nights. The staff has been unbelievable great, too! As we are booth vegans, it was difficult to find the right accommodation. But the guesthouse staff is open minded to create a vegan breakfast every morning. It was delicious! The situation of the guesthouse is good, as you have the chance to walk to the Rosebank Mall close by. There, you can find lots of shops and restaurants. All in all, we definitely recommend this place! As we won’t make it to the Kruger NP this time, we definitely have to come back and we’ll book this guesthouse again! :-) Thanks for everything!

KKEQIANGThis homestay is nice and has a swimming pool. The kitchen is open plan and only has a microwave. Chinese food cannot be made. The landlord is an old couple. Quite kind. Housewives like to talk. Her husband, Gary, was an editor of a motorcycle magazine, but the magazine failed. Provide bread slices, milk, 4 kinds of fruits. Stayed two nights and was very quiet. There are no buses in South Africa and it can't be too dangerous to take them. It's not expensive to use UBER to go out. 36 rand taxi to the nearby shopping center.

DDONGDIThe breakfast is really made by the landlord. The western food is delicious. The Chinese food is also very authentic. The location of the hotel is very close to the exhibition hall. The white area is also very safe. After finishing the work, I return to the hotel for quiet finishing work. It is very comfortable and the parking is also good. No problem, big yard. The most important thing is that several of us return to the hotel is a kind of home feeling. The landlord couple is super enthusiasm, can provide food and travel help in life, the room contains drinks, coffee, European design, feels better than 5 star hotel is ok. The hotel environment regrets not taking a few more, looking forward to staying next time.

GGuest UserI cannot recommend Agterplaas highly enough. Our room was cool and comfortable with antique furniture and accoutrements a stylish touch. Elroy and Annemie are such gracious hosts, and incredible cooks too! (Filet on the braai for dinner with chili-chocolate sauce, then fresh vetkoek, bacon and eggs for breakfast – what a treat!) The dining room was our favourite place to hang out at the guesthouse, where stories of its twenty-five year history could be heard over malva pudding and glasses of wine. Sitting on the balcony that overlooks the koppies in the late afternoon winter sun was an added pleasure. Can't wait to return!
