Family Hotels in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan

This room type is sufficient for 4. Would be nice if hotel explains how to set up room. Futon is much thinner than the 12 tatami mat room type. Was difficult to enquire room rate and extension from front desk, ended up just booking on trip.com directly, much easier snd hassle free.

This is an elegant hotel with nice staff and comfortable and clean rooms. It's very close to a subway entrance and it is within walkable distance of a large mall and Ohori Park. The staff also let me check out at 10.45am which is much better than other Japanese hotels which are often very strict about the 10am checkout time. The only drawback might be that while my room is decent, the desk is at the foot of the bed so the chair pushes against the bed. Nevertheless my stay was very good and comfortable throughout the 3 nights I stayed at this hotel.

The breakfast was pretty good. As is typical for Japan, the rooms are on the smaller side. The location is quite good, with a convenience store and a ramen shop within 100 meters. The street right next to the hotel gets very lively at night – it's packed with those 'muryou annaijo' (free information centers), haha!

1. The entrance is shared with the restaurant. You need to scan the side door to enter at night. 2. Get a lift 3. The room is dimly lit, the basement is big enough to hold two large gips, the toilet is small, and the sound insulation is poor, but overall it is acceptable. 4. I may not stay here again because there are better options at a similar price.

The room was a little smaller than another hotel with breakfast I've stayed at, but that wasn't a big deal. The toiletries provided were limited to toothpaste and toothbrushes; it would have been even better if skincare products were also available. Breakfast was Western-style, and guests could make their own pizzas.

The location is absolutely fantastic, and the room was incredibly quiet. Despite being right above Kokura Station, I didn't hear any bullet train noise. The front desk staff spoke English and provided excellent service. I personally timed it: once you exit the elevator on the 3rd floor at Starbucks, it's a quick three-minute walk to the JR platform (if you know your way around) – it's just so convenient! The room wasn't small for a Japanese hotel, it was very clean, and had a ton of outlets, plus a power strip with two two-prong outlets and two USB ports. The drip coffee was also delicious, not acidic at all, haha. Next to the JR station, in Meihin-gura, you can find Nunu Chicken and a small selection of Chiikawa merchandise. Right downstairs from the front desk is the AMU shopping mall. Inside the station, there's Shin-Shin ramen and a FamilyMart. You can walk via a covered walkway to Uomachi Shopping Street and the adjacent mall with Zara, as well as the mall with the yellow anime bear head – no need to get wet in the rain. There's a piano in Kokura Station, and people often play it when passing by.

The location is incredibly convenient, right next to the subway station. It's also just a short walk to the canal-side night market, which was a great bonus. We even happened to catch the annual Yamakasa Festival, making the whole area incredibly lively and vibrant! The only minor drawback was that the room felt a bit damp. However, the buffet breakfast was quite good. Overall, a positive stay!

I was given a room which had smoking odour. The bed smell like a bar. I requested to change the room after staying in for 2 hours and could not stand it. The staff assisted to change my room. The room is really small. We can't open two luggage at the same time. It is not really worth it to stay in this hotel at the price per night other than it's excellent location. They provide free sake for hotel guest for their welcome drink, see picture.

Definitely we will book here again. It was a nice and affordable. No receptionist but just follow the instruction given in the email once you book the hotel. Better to take the subway going to fukuoka airport then go down on the first station HIGASHI -HIE after hakata station, then exit at exit 3 walk 150 meters.  This is like an apartment type so there was a kitchen and you can cook if you want. Bed is nice, with TV and you can do the laundry.  Had a great stay. Will book this again once we visit the place.

The location is excellent, right across from Yakuin Station, surrounded by many drugstores, 7-Elevens, and Lawsons. There's also a great Hakata noodle shop within walking distance that serves unique, hard-core noodles similar to Suzhou style, paired with a rich Japanese soup base. The hotel itself is clean, though the room space is average, but it's very economical and offers good value for money.
