The Hungarian National Gallery exhibits works by Zoltán Kemény and Madeleine Kemény-Szemere from 4 December. The cabinet exhibition presents selected works from our Collection of International Art after 1800 and, marking a dual anniversary, it draws the dual horizon of the oeuvre(s) of the artist couple. Zoltán Kemény won the grand prize for sculpture at the Venice Biennale of 1964, sixty years ago, representing Switzerland. His wife, Madeleine Kemény-Szemere, donated almost four hundred or so of her and her husband’s works to the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts Budapest in 1984, forty years ago.

During our trip to Budapest, my mum and I visited Sz&eacute;chenyi Thermal Bath, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! Nestled in City Park (V&aacute;rosliget), this historic spa is one of the largest and most famous thermal baths in Europe, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation.From the moment we arrived, we were amazed by the stunning Neo-Baroque architecture. The grand yellow buildings, elegant domes, and intricate details give Sz&eacute;chenyi a royal feel. Inside, there&rsquo;s a maze of indoor pools, saunas, and steam rooms, but the highlight is definitely the massive outdoor pools. Even in winter, the contrast between the warm thermal waters and the crisp air makes for a magical experience.The mineral-rich thermal water felt incredibly soothing, and we could instantly feel its healing properties. The water temperature varies, with pools ranging from 26&deg;C to 40&deg;C (79&deg;F to 104&deg;F). We loved floating in the warm waters, especially in the outdoor pool with bubbling jets.
