Icelandic-Danish artist Olafur Eliasson (born 1967) is globally renowned for his wide-ranging practice that explores the relevance of art through perception, complex geometries and its engagement with the environment around us.
The large elliptical screen of Under the weather, 2022 appears to flicker and change in relation to our movement, encouraging us to explore the space and discover new perspectives that are unique to each of us. This illusion is caused by a moiré pattern, an optical effect that occurs when two or more similar patterns are overlaid and clash, creating the appearance of rippling lines. As we move around, the elliptical shape of the screen also seems to change, appearing circular from certain vantage points. Looming large and seeming to radiate light and heat like an indoor sun, the artwork powerfully draws attention to the impact of weather on our lives.

I would highly recommend visiting the Auckland Art Gallery as the exhibitions are thoughtfully curated and features both permanent and non permanent collection. We love the inspiring art by Robin White at the time we visited last December. There&#39;s a cafe and art shop where you can purchase unique crafts and souvenirs. Entrance is absolutely free.

The venue is slightly smaller, but the content is still very rich, and rainy days do not affect the fun at all. It is very suitable for playing with the nearby Mission Bay. The souvenirs inside are very cute and I bought several plush 😘

The whole experience is great and it is a good place to understand New Zealand&#39;s history and culture. The museum is quite big, it is worth a long time to visit, there are many interactive exhibits, especially suitable for walking the baby. There is also Chinese service, recommended.

Although Mount Eden is not high, you can overlook the whole of Auckland from the top of the mountain, and the view is particularly wide. The remains of the crater are clearly visible, covered with green grass, a peaceful green. It is not difficult to walk all the way up. You can also see sheep grazing on the hillside. Their leisurely appearance makes people can&#39;t help but take a few more photos. The wind on the top of the mountain is very strong, but it is also very fresh, which makes people feel particularly bright.
