Sensual Heeling Dance Class (CHAIR) is an exciting opportunity for individuals to explore themselves through sensual, fun, and sexy dance movements. Led by the talented Kurticiah Thompson, a renowned self-taught dancer and choreographer with over 13 years of experience performing in the Capital District. Kurticiah's passion for teaching shines through as she witnesses the growth in confidence among her students throughout their journey together. Before the pandemic, Kurticiah and her best friend taught a popular heels class called Prissy in Pumps. The hiatus from dancing was challenging for Kurticiah, who found solace in watching dancers on YouTube and Instagram. However, her desire to return to the studio was undeniable. After spending time listening to music and creating new choreography, Kurticiah felt ready to resume her heel dance class at Albany Dance & Fitness, LLC. The aim of the Sensual Heeling Dance Class (CHAIR) is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for participants to embrace their bodies and explore a new side of themselves. This class welcomes individuals aged 18 and older, and age should never be a barrier to trying something new. While wearing heels is optional, Kurticiah advises choosing heels with ankle support that one feels comfortable walking in. The class incorporates jazz and hip hop elements, allowing participants to move, shake, and body roll. Participants will have the opportunity to have their performance recorded at the end of the class, so they are encouraged to wear what feels comfortable and brings out their wild side. Wigs and sexy wardrobe choices are acceptable. KNEEPADS are recommended for the floorwork segments. The music selections will vary, adding to the diverse and exciting experience of the class.
