Sensual Heeling Dance Class (CHAIR) is an opportunity for individuals to explore their selves through sensual, fun, and sexy dance movements. Led by the talented dancer and choreographer, Kurticiah Thompson, this class is designed to boost confidence and provide a safe space for self-expression. With over 13 years of experience performing in the Capital District, Kurticiah brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the studio. Prior to the pandemic, Kurticiah taught a popular heels class called Prissy in Pumps alongside her best friend. The hiatus from dancing was challenging for her, but with a renewed sense of determination, she returned to Albany Dance and Fitness to reintroduce the heel dance class. The aim of this class is to surprise and empower participants, allowing them to embrace their bodies and discover a new side of themselves. While the class is open to individuals aged 18 and older, age is not a barrier for those interested in trying something new. In fact, Kurticiah has had the pleasure of teaching students in their 50s. Whether you choose to wear heels or not, the class will incorporate jazz and hip hop elements, ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience. At the end of the class, participants will have the opportunity to have their performance recorded. So, come dressed comfortably in what brings out your wild side. Wigs and sexy wardrobe choices are encouraged! Knee pads are also recommended as there will be floorwork involved. Expect a diverse range of music selections to keep the energy high throughout the class.
