Sensual Heeling Dance Class (CHAIR) is an opportunity to explore one's self through sensual, fun, and sexy dance movements. Led by the talented Kurticiah Thompson, a self-taught dancer and choreographer with over 13 years of experience, this class promises to be a transformative experience. Previously, Kurticiah taught a highly sought-after heels class called Prissy in Pumps with a close friend. However, due to the unfortunate circumstances of the pandemic, there was a two-year hiatus from dancing. This break was exceptionally challenging for Kurticiah, as dance served as a vital outlet. To stay connected to the world of dance, Kurticiah immersed herself in the performances of dancers on YouTube and Instagram. Despite this, the desire to return to the studio grew stronger with each passing day. After spending some time listening to music and crafting new choreography, Kurticiah felt a renewed sense of confidence and decided to bring back the heel dance class at Albany Dance and Fitness. The aim of this class is to provide an unexpected and comfortable experience for those interested in heel dancing. Kurticiah strives to create a safe space where participants can embrace their vulnerability and unleash a new and different side of themselves. The class is open to individuals aged 18 and above, with Kurticiah having had the pleasure of teaching 50-year-old students in the past. Whether or not participants choose to wear heels is entirely optional, but if they do, it is recommended that they opt for heels with ankle support. The class will incorporate elements of jazz and hip hop, so be prepared to move, shake, and body roll. At the end of the class, there will be an opportunity for participants to have their performance recorded. Dress comfortably and bring out your wild side - wigs and sexy wardrobe are not only accepted but encouraged! And don't forget to equip yourself with kneepads, as there will be floorwork involved.
