Perth Folk and Roots Club is back from 5pm to 8pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley for Sunday 26th January 2025 for the Australia day long weekend for a show with free music entertainment with the support of the City of Stirling and the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club. For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Neil Fernandes and The Snake Charmers. Neil Fernandes was a guitarist and singer songwriter with the Manikins, one of the biggest bands in Perth in the late 70s and early 80’s. The Manikins and their previous incarnations featured Australian musical luminaries Dave Faulkner (The Hoodoo Gurus) and Kim Salmon (The Scientists). The Snake Charmers are a Midland and Maylands based band that play an eclectic atmospheric range of originals and covers including Warren Zevon, Tom Waites, Velvet Underground, Leonard Cohen and Nick Cave.
