"Top of the Pyramids: Ancient Egyptian Civilization Exhibition" is the fourth exhibition in the Shanghai Museum's "Dialogue with the World" cultural relics and art exhibition series. It will be grandly opened at the People's Square Pavilion on July 18, 2024 and open to the public on July 19.
As the world's largest and Asia's highest-level overseas exhibition of ancient Egyptian cultural relics in history, the exhibition brings together 492 groups of 788 precious cultural relics from different periods of ancient Egyptian civilization, of which more than 95% are in cooperation with the capital of the Egyptian government. The exhibition will last for 13 months, fully revealing the appearance of ancient Egyptian civilization and its archaeological discoveries to the audience, and promoting mutual learning between Chinese and Egyptian civilizations.

I came to Shanghai Museum specially to see the Egypt special exhibition, thinking that there would be fewer people in Africa during non-holidays. I came to Shanghai from Wuxi very early in the morning. I really didn&#39;t have time to go to the hotel, so I came here directly with my luggage. I didn&#39;t expect so many people. The whole exhibition was divided into three sections, and there were not many products in each section. There were more people than exhibits, and people were everywhere. The experience was not very good. The time was too tight. I wanted to adjust the time, but the ticket purchased by Ctrip said that it could not be adjusted, so I went directly to the scene with this heavy bag. I spend half of the year abroad, so I haven&#39;t visited our own museum for many years. I found that our exhibits are indeed very few. Today, the embroidery and furniture on the fourth floor can be visited, but there are none on the second and third floors. I heard that Shanghai Museum has another branch in Pudong, but it is a bit far.

Except for the cold weather, everything else was perfect. Shanghai is truly a big city. The three places I visited were very atmospheric, especially Shanghai Disneyland. It felt much more fun than the amusement parks in other cities. Taking photos, interacting with dolls, and the amusement facilities were all good.

The tallest building in Shanghai, the view is great, with a bird&#39;s eye view of the whole Shanghai. I went up at 4 pm to see the day and night views. The sunset was really spectacular. The transportation is also very convenient. It is within walking distance of Lujiazui subway station. It is definitely worth a visit.

Exhibitions

The exhibits are good, and it is a good choice to have not seen Egyptian cultural relics. The only thing is that the Chinese text introduction in the exhibition is a bit small, the mobile phone has to take pictures, and it is a bit busy to scan WeChat to see the information.
