Attend the exclusive spoken word event of May '24 featuring Aris Kian at Studio.89 in Mississauga. Sauga Poetry, the city's premier venue for spoken word, invites all to participate or enjoy the performances. Don't miss the opportunity to be part of the first and final open mic night of 2024 on May 19th. All skill levels are encouraged to take the stage. Doors open at 6:30 PM, with the open mic running from 7 to 9 PM. To perform, simply sign up upon arrival before 7 PM. The performance list will be determined by a random draw, offering 16 slots with each poet allotted a maximum of 3 minutes for their piece. Aris Kian, a passionate Houston enthusiast and dedicated abolitionist student, will be the featured performer. Her renowned work has been showcased in various publications and she holds esteemed accolades in the poetry realm. Masks are suggested for all attendees. Admission is by donation.
