Radical. Playful. Iconic. During the 60s, 70s and 80s, Joyce Wieland’s humorous and biting artistry helped give shape to this country’s changing ideas about gender, nationhood and ecology. An artist of great influence, whose work included textiles, collage, print, drawing and film, her legacy lives in the works of subsequent generations.
In this ambitious retrospective, the first since 1987, more than five decades of artistic output come together to highlight the breadth and originality of her practice and to position her as a key figure in 20th century art and film. In addition to situating Wieland’s work in its artistic, social and political context, the exhibition will highlight the many ways she anticipated current debates about feminism, social equity and ecology.
The exhibition is curated by Georgiana Uhlyarik, Fredrik S. Eaton Curator of Canadian Art, AGO and Anne Grace, Curator of Modern Art, MMFA.

It will expedite your entrance and prevent any long waiting queues. There is a lot of visitors everyday. (not sure if they will ever cut off due to maximum crowd numbers) Please note TO BRING MINIMUM ITEMS. Security checks will take about 10 minutes. The CN Tower is really impressive. Take the high-speed elevator to the top and stand on the glass-floored observation deck, overlooking the Toronto city scenery and Lake Ontario. It&#39;s definitely worth a visit! The scenery is amazing, immersive, and breathtaking! There are often rainbows 🌈, which are really photogenic! There&#39;s also a fireworks and light show at night! It&#39;s beautiful! The US and Canada firework displays face each other, so dazzling! It&#39;s definitely worth a visit! The surrounding Clifton Hill is similar to Universal Studios, with lots of attractions and activities, perfect for kids!

Casa Roman Castle is truly amazing! From the moment you step in, it seems to be back to medieval Europe. The castle is unique in style, with gothic spires and exquisite carvings, showing the luxury and mystery. The interior is even more gorgeous, with elegant study rooms and mysterious towers, each room full of stories. The tower overlooks downtown Toronto with a panoramic view and intoxicating.

Art Gallery of Ontario

The Art Gallery of Ontario is a very attractive museum designed by the architect Frank Gehry. Its appearance is like a crystal ship, with a strong sense of modern art. The glass wall and glass wings on the north side of the main entrance glow under the lights at night, creating a beautiful scenery. The spiral staircase in the museum fully demonstrates Gehry&#39;s design talent.
