Experience the Japanese Painting Workshop - Paint onto Silk Fans at MALA, located in Manchester's Northern Quarter. Delve into your artistic side and learn new techniques in a beginner-friendly setting. Under the guidance of a skilled local artist with extensive teaching experience, participants will use traditional materials like bamboo brushes, sumi ink, Gansai Tambi, Mineral Paints, and gold leaf on rice paper to create stunning artwork inspired by Japanese art movements such as Ukiyo-e and Rinpa School.

This workshop's SPRING EDITION will focus on Cherry Blossom themes on Silk Fans, accompanied by a variety of artistic references. Suitable for beginners and those with some artistic background, attendees will receive all necessary materials and guidance throughout the class. At the end, take pride in your completed masterpiece and gain a new skill set to unwind creatively. The workshop, exclusive to ages 16 and above, will offer food and beverages for purchase. Went to Happy seasons restaurant and TSUJIRI in Manchester Chinatown with my mates after exams. Authentic Chinese cuisine with reasonable prices. The matcha sundae was also delicious. There are also many nice Asian restaurants around the area.
