Join Leela's signature level I class, Improv 1: Let's Play! This six-week course, exclusively for adults (18+), offers a transformative experience through group play. Drawing inspiration from Viola Spolin's theater games, mindfulness, dance/movement, sound/music, and child's play, this class combines technique and theory to unlock your spontaneity, creativity, and collaboration skills. Embrace your impulses, become comfortable with the unknown, enhance flexibility, problem-solving abilities, and foster effective communication and collaboration with others. This class welcomes shy individuals and can be repeated as often as desired for a weekly dose of play. No prerequisites are required. Instructor Reggie Harris will guide you through the class, held on Tuesdays from 7 PM to 10 PM, starting on October 24, 2023. The class will take place at STUDIO B, Leela Training Center, located at 901 Mission Street, San Francisco. Conveniently situated only one block from the Powell MUNI/BART station, the venue offers easy access. Please meet inside the lobby of the SF Chronicle Building at the 901 Mission entrance by 6:55 PM, where a Leela representative will greet and direct you to the classroom.
