The exhibition "Golden Thread. The art of dressing from north Africa to the far east", on show at the Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac until 6 July 2025, focuses on gold in the textile arts from Antiquity to the present day. This plunge into the history of this fascinating and precious metal takes visitors on a journey around the globe, from North Africa to the Middle East, via Japan, China and India. The exhibition also highlights the richness, technicality, inventiveness and expertise of the weavers, embroiderers and craftsmen who have been sublimating fabrics and silks since the dawn of time. This is a unique opportunity to admire a selection of traditional and ceremonial outfits, festive and wedding dresses from North Africa and the Orient, drapes and sparkling costumes from Asia and India, kimonos from the Edo period... and many other textile treasures. Modern creations by Chinese fashion designer Guo Pei are also on show.

Great place to visit but can get very crowded around the &quot;must sees&quot; I would highly recommended at least a 2pm slot as the museum is massive and it&#39;ll take a long time to go through all the wings. I went for the 7pm slot and didn&#39;t realise how big it was. Only managed to go through one wing before it closed!

Notre Dame de Paris is worth visiting. It has a magnificent architectural project and a long history. French writer Victor Hugo devoted himself to describing the historical stories that took place here, attracting tourists from all over the world.

Visiting the Palace of Versailles was an amazing experience, but there are a few things to keep in mind. The palace is about an hour away from the city by train. The gardens are super vast, so be prepared for a lot of walking (suggest to rent a bicycle, golf car or take the shuttle train🤔). There is no need to add the musical show to your ticket if it&rsquo;s scheduled during your visit&mdash;it was free when I went on april. Also, bring some food with you, as dining options inside can be limited and pricey.Keep in mind that once your ticket is scanned, you can only enter the palace once. Make sure to explore the entire palace before stepping out. I arrived 2&ndash;3 hours later than my booking time but was still able to enter without any issues. Be prepared for long queues, especially during peak hours.Overall, it was worth the visit despite the minor inconveniences!

I first met the Brownlee Riverbank Museum because the architect Jean Nouvel. Amazed by the clever use of more than 10 architectural skins in a building, I used this building as my case study when studying the skin of architecture at Penn University. Until I really had the opportunity to stand before her, this museum has left a lingering impression in my mind. Even if I live in New York and have seen various museums around the world, she is the most amazing to me! Mimicking nature, special abstract processing glass, Protect exhibits, connect inside and outside, blur the boundaries. Walking indoors feels like being led into pristine jungles and grasslands. The charm of primitive art in Africa, Asia, Oceania and America is magnified and focused. Masts, columns, textiles are abstract and distinct from East and West cultures. Mysterious and lovely. In the evening, the lights and the garden complement each other, adding a little bit of Paris&#39;s night spirit to the gorgeous red main building. You can see the Eiffel Tower in Paris from the roof and the strange side windows of the building. The symbol of Paris is integrated into the exhibition and becomes a part. It seems to symbolize the blending and penetration of culture. The exhibition&#39;s clever integration and projection, walking out of the exhibition, seems to be walking in the long river of history and time thanks to the curators, museums, architects of the carefully presented minority culture, so that I have the opportunity to see and understand the background of my life and growth.
