jaamil olawale kosoko

Jennifer Kidwell
—who will engage in a dynamic dialogue and share short performances: (

Meet the Artists! jaamil olawale kosoko
 is a visionary Nigerian American author, performance artist, educator, and curator, whose roots trace back to both Yoruba and Natchez heritage. Originally from Detroit, MI, their boundary-pushing practice merges live performance, video, sculpture, and poetry, all while exploring ritual, spiritual exploration, and embodied poetics. Drawing from Black critical studies and queer theories, kosoko crafts radical approaches to freedom, healing, and care, offering an expansive perspective on both artistic and social transformation. Their projects, from multimedia installations to performative lectures, seamlessly blend experimental art with community-driven engagement.
Jennifer Kidwell
, an Obie Award-winning artist, creates powerful, performer-driven theater that delves into the complexities of race and American history with both sharp wit and poignant insight. Her work is invested in challenging social truths, and engaging with discomfort and confusion around established systems and practices. As the co-artistic director of Lightning Rod Special and co-founder of the Brooklyn-based performance space JACK, Kidwell continues to push the boundaries of what theater can achieve.

As an ordinary tourist, I thought the procedure to enter the Capitol Building was very complicated, but I didn&#39;t expect that I could enter and visit just by checking the bags I brought with me.
This building was built in 1885 and covers an area of ​​51 acres. It was designed by architect Elijah E Myer in imitation of the Capitol Building in Washington. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970 and was named a National Historic Landmark in 1986.
It is amazing that the passage of time has not affected its appearance and internal structure at all. It is as new as ever. Visitors can visit the government offices and have time to visit the exterior of the building to appreciate this century-old building from all angles.
