Experience the seamless collaboration of dance and art at the February Illuminate Ecstatic Dance & Art Expo in Albany, NY. Hosted at the Ritmo Room located at 173 Spruce Street, this event will take place on February 11th, 2024, from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. Tickets are available for $28.52 and can be purchased in advance or at the door. Don't miss out on the early bird special, limited to the first 25 attendees, for just $25. Join us for a day filled with ecstatic dance, contact improv warm-up, live DJs, cacao ceremony, sound healing, live painting expo, and craft vendors. The schedule for the day includes an opening circle and cacao ceremony at 1:00pm, followed by a contact improv warm-up with Mikey Bergman at 1:30pm. Get ready to groove to the beats of Sky Root and Dear Heart, two live DJs who will take the stage at 2:30pm and 4:00pm respectively. Sierra Samay will lead a sound healing session at 5:30pm, and the event will conclude with a closing circle and announcements at 6:00pm. In addition to the dance and art experiences, there will be vendors showcasing their unique creations. Cicada Moon Collective, Offbeat Rarities, Spalunked LLC, and live painters Ama2r.art, Anamaria Aqua, Annemarie Dooley, and Shanti Payne will be present at the event. Please note that this is a substance-free and sober event. Dress comfortably for dance and come as you are, as all of you is welcome here. Parking is available next to the Ritmo Room, and all attendees are encouraged to communicate effectively with the staff for volunteering opportunities.
